The Cyber Security Analyst supports a federal agency in monitoring networks for breaches, leading incident response, performing risk and vulnerability assessments, and develop and implement security policies and best practices. The Cyber Security Analyst analyzes security data from sources like SIEMs and firewalls, coordinating with other teams on compliance issues, and recommending security enhancements to safeguard confidentiality, integrity, and availability to meet the needs and support the missions of the agency.
Required Responsibilities/Duties:
Lead the investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
Perform risk assessments, analyze vulnerabilities using Tenable Nessus, and coordinate remediation activities
Monitor networks for security breaches, analyze logs from various sources (e.g., firewalls, SIEMs), and look for indicators of compromise.
Create and improve security standards, best practices, incident response plans, and disaster recovery plans.
Prepare reports on security metrics, attempted attacks, and breaches. Communicate findings and risks to stakeholders and management.
Maintain and administer security tools like firewalls and intrusion detection systems. May assist with tuning and testing detection rules.
Identifies potential areas of information security compliance vulnerability and risk, develops and implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Develops and periodically reviews and updates information security policies, procedures, and associated documentation to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees regarding regulatory compliance.
Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep customer stakeholders informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
Acts as an independent reviewer and evaluator to ensure that compliance issues and concerns within the institution are being appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved.
Communicates the results of risk assessments to stakeholders in non-technical terms so effective decisions can be made to ensure the safety and security of data subject to government regulation.
Executes responsibilities outlined in the Information Security Incident Response Plan to appropriately contain, investigate, remediate, and report information security incidents.
Qualification
Active Top-Secret clearance with capability to obtain SCI/CI Poly if needed to meet contract requirements.
Bachelors and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related computer science technical degree
CompTIA Security+ or higher certification
2 years of relevant experience with the following:
Vulnerability scanning tools (specifically Tenable Nessus)

The Opportunity
We're looking for a Network Engineer to take on a critical role in our operations. Job DescriptionWho We're Looking For (Position Overview):Spry Methods is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support secure, mission-focused information systems in a high-impact government environment. The ISSE will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity controls across enterprise and mission systems, working closely with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure systems meet federal cybersecurity and authorization requirements.What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):
Support the identification of information protection needs and security requirements for information systems and network environments
Contribute to the design and implementation of security architectures and security controls across system components
Assist with security engineering activities throughout the system lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and operations
Support the implementation of security measures that ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation
Participate in Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, including security control implementation, assessment support, and continuous monitoring

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
Top Secret (TS) Clearance with SCI eligibility.
3 - 5 years of demonstrated experience supporting cybersecurity or information assurance activities within enterprise or mission systems
Working knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), FISMA and ATO processes
Familiarity with common security assessment, vulnerability scanning, and monitoring tools (e.g., Nessus, NMAP, Guardium, WebInspect, or similar)
Understanding of system and network security principles, including access control, boundary protection, and secure system design
Experience supporting cloud security in environments such as AWS GovCloud, C2S, SC2S, and Microsoft Azure.
Analyze logs using Splunk and AWS tools.
Ability to document security controls and communicate technical information clearance
Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment and configuration tools such as Nessus, ACSA, and Splunk.
Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CASP+ CECAP, Security+, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or other relevant certifications.
Experience in a high-side or multi-enclave (U/S/TS) environment.
Experience working with Agile development teams and CI/CD pipelines.

The Opportunity
We're looking for a Network Engineer to take on a critical role in our operations. This position goes beyond routine maintenance; you will be responsible for building and fortifying the core network infrastructure that supports our oil and gas business. You'll be at the forefront of network design and cybersecurity, working across both corporate offices and remote field sites. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring seamless and secure operations in both our IT and OT (operational technology) environments.
Location
This is a hybrid position based out of our Morgantown, West Virginia, office. You'll be expected to work in the office three days a week with occasional travel, up to 20% of the time, to remote field locations. This includes working outdoors in various weather conditions and on rugged terrain.
What You Will Be Doing
Designing, deploying, and maintaining network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Cloud).
Ensuring the high availability and reliability of the network.
Managing and configuring network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, modems, VPN, DHCP, etc.).
Proactively monitoring and optimizing network performance.
Managing telecommunication providers and vendors.
Controlling and optimizing network and telecom costs.
Providing on-call support for mission-critical operations.
Maintaining accurate documentation of network diagrams, IP address management, and change control logs.
Complying with company and IT policies, standards, and SOPs.
Your Background
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in enterprise or industrial network engineering roles.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network platforms.
Strong understanding of network security principles and experience with firewalls, ACLs, and secure remote access.
Experience supporting remote field infrastructure, including VSAT, LTE, or long-range wireless links.
Experience in oil and gas industry preferred
Working Conditions
Occasional travel to remote areas (up to 20%).
Ability to work in outdoor environments, including harsh weather and rugged terrain.
