Job Purpose
Patrols, monitors and performs administrative duties that support the overall security and safety of Graco employees, facilities, property, and parking areas. The Security Officer will maintain control over entry and exit of employees and visitors using established security guidelines and practices.
*FLOAT Schedule & Location
Typical schedule will be a guaranteed minimum of 32 hours/week M-F, occasional weekends, with the potential to be at any of our MN locations: Minneapolis, Rogers, Dayton and Anoka for first or second shifts and occasional third shifts. The employee will work with the Coordinator responsible for security scheduling to determine weekly hours at a minimum of two weeks in advance. If hours become available in less than the two week notice period, the employee has the right to refuse those potential hours.

Essential Duties
Patrol assigned buildings and grounds document and escalate incidents in violation of Company rules and regulations, to appropriate party.
Following defined procedures, controls entry and departure of persons, and prohibits entry of unauthorized persons into Graco or restricted areas.
Make & issue badges, verify credentials of visitors, contractors, and employees.
Perform weekly and monthly audits of building security and safety issues.
Complete badge inventory daily.
Monitor and troubleshoot electronic fire, security, camera, and intercom systems. Ability to learn and troubleshoot all systems.
Maintain order in emergencies, following post orders::
Cooperate with all city, state, and federal agencies. Provide information and/or assistance as required.
Notify 911 in a medical emergency and perform first aid/CPR as needed.
Notify facilities, management, and contractors as required based on power outages, gas leaks, elevator problems, etc. Notify the ERT team for spills.
Ensure that security databases, logs, and incident reports are accurate and complete.
Control removal of Company property from the facility and investigate, document, and report any unusual occurrences of a suspicious or undesirable nature.
Work with employees signing out lockers, issuing keys.
Receive phone calls and notify interested parties in case of an emergency.
Sign for mail, parcel post, express shipments as required.
Complete all paperwork as required.
Assist cleaning crew & facilities maintenance with coordination of work orders.
Assist Security Coordinators with training of new employees and as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of office files, records, and documents pertaining to terminations, criminal background checks, proprietary information, and employee personnel records.
