What Success Looks Like:
* Supervise general ledger closing, financial statement preparation, account analysis, management report preparation, analysis of financial results, management of sales and use taxes, budgeting.
* This position will also be responsible for supervising the plant controllers and staff accountants that report into the divisional central finance function.
* The position requires a strong leader who can not only lead the accounting department, but who provides direction to other departments.

What Success Looks Like:
Supervise general ledger closing, financial statement preparation, account analysis, management report preparation, analysis of financial results, management of sales and use taxes, budgeting.
This position will also be responsible for supervising the plant controllers and staff accountants that report into the divisional central finance function.
The position requires a strong leader who can not only lead the accounting department, but who provides direction to other departments.
Frequent problem resolution is required relating to financial and management reporting.
Incumbent is required to travel from the main place of work to the manufacturing operations to be actively involved in manufacturing operations and support the local teams.
Responsible for preparation of the annual strategic plan and budgets, working alongside the FP&A function
Drives the process for developing manufacturing budgets and improvement initiatives.
Implementation and management of SOX compliance duties and ensuring the division achieves full compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
Working alongside local site management for financial analysis and ad hoc requests and to support business decision and long term strategic planning goals.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Your Credentials:
BS in Accounting is a minimum requirement
CPA required
At least 10 years of financial management experience is required
Strong analytical skills, excellent accounting skills, ability to use ERP systems, strong ability to use spreadsheet and database applications
Independent judgment is required in managing cash, payables and payroll and in financial and management reporting, among other areas
The salary range for this position is $154,000 to $188,000 with bonus potential.

Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple concurrent engagements within the AFC practice to provide technical accounting and financial or business advisory guidance to clients
* Demonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of complex accounting concepts
* Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverables
* Collaborate directly with firm specialists/subject matter experts on complex accounting matters
* Assist in the preparation of technical memos and other client deliverables
* Manage TAC engagements and the engagement teams
* Oversee engagement economics and manage appropriate resources for efficient engagement models
* Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise; identify performance improvement opportunities
* Understand RSM's service lines and work as a team in providing an integrated service delivery
* Develop others within the AFC practice through mentoring, training and advising on career development or participating in other Firm initiatives
* Understand RSM's lines of businesses, availability of services and where applicable, discuss with client management of opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firm
* Work with the National Leader on "go to market" strategy, participating in proposals, pitch meetings, and developing marketing collateral
* Develop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growth
* Subscribe to and actively read industry publications and share relevant information with clients as considered applicable
* Ensure professional development through ongoing education
* Willingness to travel 25% or less of the year, depending on your clients
Required Qualifications:
* BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
* 7+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting, financial reporting or technical accounting capacity
* Excellent team and project management skills
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills
* Understanding of audit services with knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and FASB regulations
* A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships
* A successful record of directing and deploying staff senior associates/supervisors, managers on multiple, simultaneous engagements
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in leading project teams related to one or more of the following areas: accounting and finance optimization, audit readiness, complex accounting analysis and consultation, new accounting standard implementation
* CPA or equivalent certification

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $126,500 - $254,700

Charlotte Center City Partners (CCCP) is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide accounting expertise and leadership to support our organization through all aspects of the Accounting and Finance operations. This senior level position will work with the Controller and Accountant to complete our accounting operations and team.
Charlotte Center City Partners is a 501(c)4 nonprofit corporation. In addition to supporting CCCP, the accounting team provides full services for 2 additional 501(c)3 related entities. CCCP Community Trust (CCCPCT) has multiple programs including the Small Business Innovation Fund, Music Everywhere, McColl Park, as well as major events. The Charlotte City Market DBA The Market at 7th Street is an Uptown food hall and small business incubator.
Responsibilities:
This role will report to the Controller. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Accounting practice
• Responsible for reviewing and maintaining our general ledger system.
• Work with the Accountant on all aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and credit card entries. There are three sets of individual books to be maintained.
• Record all necessary journal entries in month end and year end close.
• Track the “Due to/Due from” between the companies.
• Work on the annual financial audit by providing material, as directed by the Controller, to the independent audit company for the combined and consolidated financial audit for CCCP and CCCPCT.
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of the IRS Form 990's and other required governmental filings.
• Responsible for all aspects of Business insurance, including renewals and audits. Working with the controller and the COO.
Budgeting
• Assist the Controller with preparing annual budgets and board presentations for the three separate companies.
• Track budgets on a monthly basis including providing reports to non-financial management.
• Grant management and tracking as needed.
Miscellaneous
• Assist the Controller with some payroll duties and related human resource duties.
• Develop and provide consistent messaging to the entire organization to drive cooperation and to meet deadlines in the bill paying, credit card reports and vacation time submission so accounting can handle work in a timely and needed manner.
• Build a network of collaboration, support and positive relationships with staff and management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• CPA license (either already achieved or working towards) a plus, but not required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a general accounting position. Non-profit experience a plus, but not a requirement.
• Must have a good working knowledge of QuickBooks and all aspects of general ledger accounting.
• Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) and Adobe products.
• Strong financial skillset with P&L and budget management experience.
• Curiosity and leadership on the development of new best practices, tools, and resources.
• Self-starter who is an independent thinker, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines within a cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent listening skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, problem-solving and decision-making.
• Highly effective organizational skills, time management, responsibility, leadership, and motivation.
• Ability to work outside of standard hours at times of the year when the workload requires it, such as audit or budget times.
• Ability to work with C-level executives.
