Work Environment

Occasional visits to manufacturing sites may require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Travel may be required to meet business needs.

Meeting Management: Prepare agendas and take detailed minutes for weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and internal team meetings.
Project Management Support
Procurement: Assist in the buyout process, scoping subcontractor bids, and tracking material lead times to ensure materials arrive on site when needed.
Financials: Assist the Project Manager with monthly pay applications, change order pricing, and invoice coding.
Closeout: Lead the closeout process by collecting warranties, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings to deliver a complete turnover package to the client.
Field Support & Quality Control
Site Presence: Regularly walk the site with the Superintendent to track progress, document safety observations, and understand the sequence of work.
Punch List: Manage the punch list process towards the end of the project, coordinating subcontractors to complete outstanding items efficiently.
Photos: Maintain a comprehensive photo log of the project progress (using Procore or similar tools).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field is required.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience. Previous internships in commercial construction are highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project) and PDF editing software (Bluebeam Revu). Familiarity with construction management software (Procore) is a major plus.

Ensure that compliance of all regulatory laws and guidelines are met as they relate to the operation of the building's infrastructure. Responsible for alerting management of building discrepancies.
Assist in the development of a Capital plan which would include planning for infra-structure upgrades, equipment replacements and building modifications to ensure the building's future capabilities are maintained.
Responsible for ensuring that major projects performed at the building are properly planned, executed and closed out in accordance with standard industry practices.
Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building including up-to-date building drawings and single lines as well as documentation mandated for the purpose of maintaining regulatory compliance with Federal, State or Local law.
Responsible for overseeing the activities of contractors working within the building either as representatives of the building itself or tenants operating within the buildings.
Responsible for keeping records of buildings rounds and readings, all engineering logs and engineering data sheets.
Responsible for advance training and notification to all contractors so that they are informed and knowledgeable with respect to the building's functions and the work they are to perform, including an incident contact response list.
Ensuring all critical equipment and events are a well-understood process among the building staff, engineers, tenants and contractors who perform work on the building's critical infrastructure.

THE ROLE
SpaceWorks is seeking senior aerospace engineers with a focus on designing and developing next-generation hypersonic flight vehicles, Earth-to-orbit launch systems, human and robotic spacecraft, and space re-entry vehicles. Seeking domain expertise in Flight Performance and Trajectory Optimization.
A successful candidate will:
Have intuition and experience modeling the flight performance of supersonic/hypersonic aircraft and/or spacecraft
Support a small multidisciplinary team of technical staff to design complex systems
Exhibit a "can do" and "want to" attitude - bringing an open-minded approach and a bias toward finding solutions
Have experience supporting activities in modeling, simulation, and design of high-speed flight systems including endo-atmospheric, re-entry, and launch systems
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Flight Performance and Trajectory Optimization:
Develop mission concepts of operation based on program requirements
Conduct engineering approximations for expected mission performance
ΔV budgets, climb and turn rates, propellant fractions
Develop and optimize trajectories using 3-DoF & 6-DoF flight software
Includes synthesis of mass, aero, prop, struct models and constraints
Includes development of multi-objective functions to balance mission performance, safety, and system constraint
Perform Monte Carlo (or probabilistic analyses) to understand off-nominal mission
Applications include range safety, circular error probably, expected casualty
Integrate simulations into MDAO design environment
Support trajectory software sales through engineering technical support

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering
5+ years of related aerospace industry experience contributing technically as a flight performance engineer primarily within concept development, requirements definition, preliminary design, and detailed design.
Relevant work or project experience in the design/modeling of hypersonic atmospheric vehicles, Earth-to-orbit launch systems, or human & robotic spacecraft
High level disciplinary experience with multidisciplinary analysis and optimization of high-speed flight and/or launch vehicle design
Experience in relevant aerospace-oriented, flight development programs (e.g. UAVs, missiles, CubeSats)
Basic knowledge of Monte Carlo analysis, uncertainty analysis, or risk analysis
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, collaborative environment with ownership and autonomy typical of a small business
