Position Summary
The Protection Specialist will provide executive protection and security services on an as-needed basis. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to respond quickly to dynamic situations. The position involves frequent travel and irregular hours based on client requirements.
Essential Duties
Provide personal protection and security for executives and designated individuals.
Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to ensure safety during travel and events.
Coordinate logistics for secure transportation and site security.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Respond to emergencies and security incidents promptly and effectively.
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; a degree in a related field is preferred.

Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-34 with a starting pay of $48.33/hour - $55.99/hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
Employees working in a maximum security correctional institution are eligible for a $3/hour add-on for all hours worked. Employees working at a medium security correctional institution are eligible for a $1/hour add-on for all hours worked.

Job Details
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.

As public safety employees, remote work is not an option for these positions.
These positions have physical requirements including but not limited to: walking, twisting, climbing, standing, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs, etc. These positions are also exposed to a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.
A medical/drug/fitness screening and the DOC Facility Staff Training and Support (FSTS) six week academy may be required.

* Responding to and assisting in emergencies such as physical altercations, medical emergencies, and crisis intervention during incidents in a secure environment (treatment facility, institution, etc.)
* Providing specialized formal training, coaching, or mentorship to others in a group or one on one setting (e.g. FTO instructor / coordinator, POSC, ERU Team Leader, Firearms, Security Threat Group, etc.).
In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have training and/or experience:
* Participating in multi-disciplinary teams and/or serving on committees or work groups.
* Conducting investigations and coordinating with outside agencies.
* Conducting security and/or overseeing inspections throughout an institution.

This position carries out responsibility for security, discipline, and order at the assigned institution. Responsibilities include supervision of Correctional Officers and Correctional Sergeants on an assigned shift; institution security inspections on a given shift; resolving problems and/or counseling persons in our care.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-33 with a starting pay of $46.23/hour - $53.17/hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
Employees working in a maximum security correctional institution are eligible for a $3/hour add-on for all hours worked. Employees working at a medium security correctional institution are eligible for a $1/hour add-on for all hours worked.

Job Details
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.

As public safety employees, remote work is not an option for these positions.

Security Officers will work as a uniformed retail loss prevention officer. As a Security Officer you will be required to monitor cameras for potential shoplifters. You will be required to confront and stop all potential shop lifters. Security Officers will need to be able to write detailed reports for the client on the shop lifting incident. Security Officer will be required to testify in court for the shop lifting incident. Security Officer will need to be customer service orientated, have great verbal and written communication skills. Security Officers will network with local Law Enforcement to help deter and apprehend shoplifters.

Completes the daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs. Maintains positive relationships with Store Management. Conducts apprehensions within established policies and guidelines. Communicates with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives. Identifies and resolves internal and external theft.
Adheres to established shoplifter guidelines and policies
Provides timely, courteous and knowledgeable service to customers
Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
Observes, apprehends, and/or deters any acts of dishonesty from outside sources
Participates in investigations and surveillance as assigned
Ensures apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity
Completes and distributes paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
Maintains appropriate evidence, demonstrates understanding of law enforcement procedures and professionally participates in legal activities as needed (e.g., police calls, etc.)
Coordinates and complete shrink related activities in partnership with Store Management
Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
Encourages Associate use of shrink reduction resources
Promotes safety awareness and supports maintenance of a safe environment

Security Officers will be working under the Loss Prevention section of Continental for a retail box store.
Includes but is not limited to:
Loss Prevention Officers will work as a uniformed retail Loss Prevention Officer. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will be required to monitor cameras for potential shoplifters. You will be required to confront and stop all potential shop lifters. Loss Prevention Officers will need to be able to write detailed reports for the client on the shop lifting incident. Loss Prevention Officers will be required to testify in court for the shop lifting incident. Loss Prevention Officers will need to be customer service orientated, have great verbal and written communication skills. Loss Prevention Officers will network with local Law Enforcement to help deter and apprehend shoplifters.
This position will be a FT/ 40 hour to include working both 1st & 2nd shifts along with weekends
REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and a drug screen
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED
Must have Security experience and strong Customer Service Skills
Must have good written/verbal communication skills
Summary
As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will be essential in safeguarding company assets and minimizing theft through effective surveillance and loss prevention strategies. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will utilize core skills in CCTV monitoring and loss prevention techniques. Strong communication and customer service skills are vital as you interact with staff and customers.
