The Senior SoftwareEngineer plays an essential role in developing new software features and exploring advanced technologies. This position fosters creativity and contributes to the architecture, design, and implementation of innovative solutions. This role engages with existing code bases and leads new development initiatives in collaboration with business teams, technical teams, and management. Furthermore, Senior SoftwareEngineers mentor their peers and assist in training, upholding company and industry standards for quality, security, and performance through rigorous code reviews.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Write and test code through unit and integration tests to deliver new features and enhancements.
Triage and correct software bugs to improve quality.
Participate in agile practices including daily standups, backlog grooming and user story estimation.
Participate in release activities including deployment and verification of production environments.
Assist in resolving production outages or code issues to ensure stability and continuity of business.
Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and security standards are achieved.
Participate in establishing company standards and best practices.
Mentor peers to improve quality, velocity, and to train new technologies.
Work with peers and management team to analyze complex business problems to recommend and implement technology solutions.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, patterns, and best practices.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant work experience, including Java 1.8+ / J2EE / Spring Framework /Spring Boot or similar API/frameworks, SOAP and/or REST Web Services, and SQL or similar query languages required. Previous experience with version control tools (i.e. Git / GitHub, CodeCommit, SVN) and Integrations with Elastic Search & CDC pipelines required.
Prior experience with Testing frameworks (i.e. Spock, Junit5 or Mockito), AWS or equivalent cloud service providers, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) preferred.
