APTIM is seeking a motivated, energetic, and personable early career professional with an interest in Port infrastructure engineering. This is a Temporary Position. The STRIVE Internship Program is a 12-week experience running from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026. Interns are required to be fully available during Week 1 (May 18--22) and Week 12 (August 3--7) of the program. Week 12 includes company-paid travel to an APTIM office (location to be announced) for an end-of-internship celebration. Interns are expected to minimize absences to ensure a meaningful program experience. The program observes Memorial Day (May 25, 2026) and Independence Day (July 3, 2026, observed). Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Conduct engineering analyses and apply engineering tools for the design and formulation of ports projects Assist project teams in conducting the design process for engineering projects from conceptual design to detailed designs Prepare standard contract documents, such as technical specifications, engineering reports, regulatory applications and other technical documents Coordinate work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline and with support services staff Conduct field work including site inspections, surveys, and construction observations Manage individual tasks and small projects while also working collaboratively as part of a team for larger or multi-disciplinary projects Basic Qualifications: Attending an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Geotechnical Engineering Strong quantitative skillsets to support port projects, that include civil, structural, mechanical and coastal engineering.
