The Student Surgical Technologist Intern provides direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in the appropriate setting across the continuum of care. They communicate with the surgical staff about instrumentation, surgical procedures, and sterility. The student surgical technologist intern is able to scrub alongside a certified surgical technologist. This experience is intended for students who will graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited surgical technology program within the next academic year. **Job Purpose:**
This internship position will work with the Category Development team on customer category assignments to develop category plans and strategies, which are consistent with marketing objectives, and customer needs. This position will be fully on-site in Red Wing, MN, 7:00AM - 4:30PM Monday-Thursday. Applicants must live within a commutable distance to Red Wing, MN.
Compensation is $25/hr.
What to Expect:
As an Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of the engineering discipline by contributing to a variety of impactful projects. This role offers exposure to real-world engineering challenges, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to develop technical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
As an Engineering Intern, you will:
Use CAD software to update plant layouts that reflect recent and ongoing facility changes.
Work with 3D scanning technology and comparative analysis tools to audit and document geometrical designs across multiple manufacturing facilities.
Participate in a week-long Continuous Improvement event focused on enhancing production processes related to safety, quality, productivity, and 5S.
Collaborate with another engineer to execute a smaller-scale capital equipment project, which includes defining the scope of work, interacting with vendors, preparing quotes and CER documentation, implementing the project, and resolving outstanding issues.
Qualifications
We're looking for students who meet the following requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, manufacturing and/or design)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in working within a production environment

**Your role and responsibilities**

**Responsibilities**
The Student Surgical Technologist Intern provides direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in the appropriate setting across the continuum of care. They communicate with the surgical staff about instrumentation, surgical procedures, and sterility. The student surgical technologist intern is able to scrub alongside a certified surgical technologist. This experience is intended for students who will graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited surgical technology program within the next academic year.
