Northrop Grumman is hiring a Manager of Data Engineering to lead the Data Engineering team within the Insights & Intelligence (i2) organization. This role will report to the Director of Data Intelligence & Engineering. Remote options are considered for the right candidate.
Insights & Intelligence (i2) is reimagining decision making at Northrop Grumman. As part of our Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO), i2 works with all enterprise domains and businesses to drive our data, analytics & AI transformation.
As a leader, you will manage a team of data engineers working across critical domains of the business. You will be responsible for business-critical data pipelines and scaling our data infrastructure aligned with our Northrop Grumman data strategy. **Basic Qualifications:**

+ Experience building out data models and medallion architecture in Databricks or similar modern data platforms.
+ Experience leading teams to design and implement data models, data warehouses, and overall data architecture, weighing trade-offs.
+ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence both technical and executive audiences.
**Preferred Qualifications** :
+ Master's degree or PhD in Engineering or related field.
+ Experience integrating data from enterprise systems such as SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, and Salesforce.
+ Deep domain expertise in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, or Manufacturing
Primary Level Salary Range: $154,600.00 - $255,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Job Description
This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. DoD SkillBridge Internships are available to help transitioning active-duty military personnel gain real-world experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of active-duty service. The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership. Objective
The Skillbridge intern will train as a SoftwareEngineer within HII-Mission Technologies, reporting to a designated HII Supervisor, with the goal of learning SoftwareEngineering basics and principles, and who can effectively contribute to HII MT's reverse engineering team, with practical experience in hardware/software analysis and development within a cleared environment. The intern will be assigned special projects as needed.

This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. DoD SkillBridge Internships are available to help transitioning active-duty military personnel gain real-world experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of active-duty service. Objective

Job Summary:The AI/ML developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to create intelligent and automated systems. This role works on various stages of the AI/ML development life cycle, from data preprocessing and model development to deployment and monitoring. The AI/ML developer is generally focused on integrating and implementing AI/ML algorithms and logic into the deliverables of an IT project.Responsibilities• Collaborates with various stakeholders to understand, meet, and answer business challenges using AI software• Develops and implements machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems and extract insights from large datasets• Selects appropriate machine learning tools, techniques and models based on the problem at hand• Optimizes models for performance, scalability, and accuracy, considering factors like computational resources and memory constraints• Works closely with 3rd party partners and consultants on AI Tools and implementations when implementation partners are needed• Collaborates with softwareengineers to integrate AI/ML models into existing systems or develop new applications• Stays updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and contributes to the adoption of best practices within the team
Qualification Requirements:Education:• A bachelor's degree in softwareengineering, computer science, or a related field; master's preferred
Experience:• At least five years of experience in softwareengineering, AI engineering, or similar field• Demonstrated expertise in machine learning
Skills:• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and JavaScript for developing AI/ML applications• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and deep learning; familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and libraries for text analysis and sentiment analysis• Considerable knowledge of machine learning libraries and frameworks • Proficient in exploratory data analysis (EDA) and data visualization • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP • Experience with version control systems like Git for collaborative development and code management• Strong and innovative problem-solving skills used to analyze complex issues and propose AI/ML solutions
