Education
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training.
Licenses and Requirements
Minimum of two registries in:
Adult Cardiac Sonography (RDCS-AE) - ARDMS or
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - CCI and
Vascular Technology (RVT) - ARDMS or
Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - CCI
Graduates from a dual cardiac and vascular ultrasound program are eligible for hire and must obtain both their adult echo and vascular registries within 12 months of hire date
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be familiar with standard cardiac and/or peripheral vascular ultrasound views, equipment, and controls

Perform quality diagnostic medical sonograms under supervision to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging information for use in diagnosis and treatment. A Brief Overview
