Our board-certified radiologists have specialty training in cardiac imaging, neuroimaging, musculoskeletal, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and body and breast imaging. Along with our team of expert imaging technologists, they are committed to diagnosing illnesses and injuries quickly and effectively so treatment can begin. - We take time and attention with each patient to explain procedures, so they'll know what to expect every step of the way. - Radiology Services at UW Medical Center - Northwest offers routine radiology, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Spec Mammography Imaging Technologist performs screening mammography and both routine and complex diagnostic imaging accurately, independently, and efficiently. This includes advanced or complex exams and breast ultrasound. Also assists the radiologist with Ultrasound biopsies and Mammography and Ultrasound Guided localization procedures. In addition, the technologist is certified to perform diagnostic and procedural breast ultrasound imaging. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS - Satisfactory completion of formal technology training in an AMA approved school, registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - ARRT(R)(M) Mammography certification and ARMDS or ARRT (BS) Breast Ultrasound OR equivalent education/experience. - Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist.
