Ultrasound Technologist -performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs.
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs Ultrasound Examinations.
Documents patient assessment and history.
Provides patient education.
Operates computer and ultrasound equipment for image production and documentation.
Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
Performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal images.
Enters and properly completes all patient information including exam charges and supplies into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Prepares films for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner.
Exhibits flexibility and adaptability to unique needs of the department and respond appropriately.
Communicate abnormal situations to proper sources in a way that facilitates resolution and/or tracking.
Actively engages other health care providers (radiologist, surgeons, specialist, and mammographers) to ensure quality, continuity and appropriateness of care.
Follows department procedures/processes/policies.
Practices safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations.
Follows universal precautions, infection control guidelines and sterile technique.
Complies with all governing regulations.
Stocks and cleans exam rooms/work areas.
Other duties as assigned.
Applies the professions code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
Basic Qualifications: Experience
Minimum one (1) year experience in Ultrasonography a minimum (will only accept new graduates from KPGA affiliated ultrasound program educational institutions).
Education
Graduate of AMA approved Ultrasonography Program.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound exams, with emphasis on bilateral arterial duplex studies.
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure timely reporting and continuity of care.
Rotate between designated locations based on scheduling needs.
Assist with maintaining ultrasound equipment and ensuring accurate documentation in EMR systems.
Support the vascular team in optimizing workflow and patient throughput.
Qualifications
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required.
Minimum 5+ years of vascular ultrasound experience preferred.
Strong proficiency in bilateral arterial duplex exams.
Ability to manage a caseload of 10-20 studies per day with accuracy and efficiency.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work in multiple clinic locations.

Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine is looking for a Part time Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing team. This position is an integral part of our team and vital to helping us create a smooth and personal experience for each of our patients. Job Description
Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic OB/GYN/infertility ultrasound procedures utilizing various transducers primarily follicle, and transvaginal ultrasounds and first trimester OB scans.
Perform ultrasound Doppler procedures.
Perform 3D ultrasound procedures.
Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
Integrate diagnostic sonogram with patients' history, medical records, and laboratory results, and adapt to examinations.
Present and prepare preliminary ultrasound findings to attending physician for final report.
Consistently and accurately complete documentation pertinent to the ultrasound examinations.
Assist the physician and other team members in providing excellent patient care.
Maintain mature, professional, and effective working relationships with all physicians, other staff, and outside customers.
Explain the procedure to the patient, record medical history consider necessary and prepare patient for testing.
Responsible for appropriately marking super bill to charge patients for exams performed. Escort patient to check out desk to assure payment for services provided.
Ensure proper operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; reporting equipment failures/calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintain related supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies.
Conform to applicable HIPAA, billing compliance, Quality Assurance, and safety guidelines.
Participate in a team approach to patient care. Coordinate with other staff to assure appropriate and timely patient care is provided and patient needs are met.
Related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Current American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification in OB/GYN preferred.
Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification.
Diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited medical sonography program.
At least One to Two years of experience in an OB/GYN setting; experience in fertility or women's health is strongly preferred but not required.
Excellent oral/written communication skills.
Strong customer service background.
Proficiency in computers.
Ability to operate ultrasound equipment efficiently, evaluate sonogram to acquire diagnostic information, communicate diagnostic information to physicians, follow departmental protocols and guidelines, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team.
