Role Overview:
As an SLP, you will plan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders, You will also assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with their students ability to derive full benefit from the educational program. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech and language goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements.
Consult with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the accomplishment of therapy goals, the needs of the student, and involvement in remedial process.

Qualifications:

Active PA SLP license

Evaluate children, with known or suspected delays as pertinent to the case assigned
Participate in planning meeting with the service coordinator, parents, and other members of the EI team
Provide treatment in accordance with the child's IFSP
Provide all required documentation within required time frames, including daily notes, three and six-month progress notes and annual reviews
Provide instruction to families, team members, and other support staff consistent with accepted practice standards
Instruct families in the use of total communication, augmentative communication, oral-motor therapy, feeding therapy, use of other assistive devices, or other techniques specific to the child's needs
Submit all required attendance documentation to the agency within required time frames
Maintain effective monthly contact with other team members
Include the family in planning for the needs and treatment of the child
Notifies agency of all pertinent information that occurs outside of normal documentation procedure
Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director or designee
