Time Off Management for Full-Time School Employees: Employees are encouraged to schedule their time off during school breaks. Time off requests will be reviewed and approved by the supervisor to ensure minimal disruption to normal operations. Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications: Licensure: Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are delivered or eligibility to obtain such licensure. Certifications: Department of Education certification (if applicable), and any relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, CPI) as needed. Experience: Preferably one year of experience in speech therapy Clearances: DOJ/FBI Livescan background check and TB clearance required. Must be eligible to work in the US. Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Speech Language Pathologist Physical Demands: Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes. Assesses and makes recommendations regarding the selection, modification and implementation of AT devices and services to allow students to access and benefit from their program of specialized instruction. Coordinates the delivery of AT services with classroom teachers, special education staff and other providers to ensure continuity and consistency in providing comprehensive special education services to students. Provides training to special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and others as appropriate, in assisting students in the appropriate use and maintenance of AT devices. Perform other related duties as assigned. This position will contribute to STRS.
