• Consistently comply with federal and state mandates as well as local and agency policies in performance of their duties. Activities may include Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, Medicaid billing, report writing, and treatment plan/therapy log development.
• Follows therapy schedule established by Speech Department Head.
• Maintain a student treatment load of 50 billable sessions per week.
• Utilize Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP) procedures as applicable and necessary.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as in conjunction with other staff members and members of the instructional team.
• Maintain a current inventory of all Beyond Support Network equipment and supplies in treatment rooms.
• Submit inventory annually upon request.
• Ensures that equipment and supplies are used appropriately and maintained in good condition. Submit maintenance requests when necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the room and its contents.

The SpeechLanguagePathologist is expected to work closely with the Evaluation Team and respond to the directives of the team supervisor and provide billing documentation to team supervisor as required.

Victory Learning Center is seeking a SpeechLanguagePathologist to work with students aged 5 to 21, primarily diagnosed on the Autism spectrum, with mental health and/or behavioral concerns, and developmental or intellectual disabilities. The SpeechLanguagePathologist will collaborate with other educators to plan and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of students. This role involves creating a flexible and supportive environment where students can engage in speech/language therapy services that promote the acquisition of expressive and receptive language skills. The therapist will work in various educational settings, providing individualized and group therapy to students based on their IEP needs.
Essential Job Duties:
Reviews all available documentation related to the individual prior to beginning treatment; including the IEP, script and prior evaluations if available.
Develops an appropriate treatment plan for each individual.
Provides direct speech therapy services to students both individually and in group settings according to IEP and accepted professional standards and practices.
Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement. Performs appropriate parent/caregiver education and develops home programs as necessary.
Submits weekly notes and billing based on agency requirements.

Speech-LanguagePathologist:
Screens resident for communication problem upon request; conducts an in-depth evaluation and makes written recommendations for a therapy plan of care, if necessary and upon request.
Coordinates audiometric screening test for resident and makes referrals for further audiology evaluations, or treatments if necessary.
Initiates speech-language therapy plan of care according to physician orders; and maintains required contact with the physician during the therapy program of resident.
Observes rights of residents and treats residents with respect and kindness.
Maintains written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for all residents in a speech-language treatment program.
Confers with other staff regarding special needs of residents and integrates speech-language treatment program with goals and approaches of other disciplines.
Attends Resident Care Planning and Family/Resident Care Plan Review meetings for residents currently in a speech-language treatment program.
Maintains records that include statistical reports about resident, in-service education information, budget information and a material/equipment inventory.
Submits statistical reports to the Business Office staff for Medicare billing payments, and completes assessment forms upon request.
Attend staff meetings and required or preferred in-service training.
Participates in developing and conducting in-service training programs for facility personnel involved in resident care.
Reviews written speech-language policies and procedures annually and makes necessary revisions.
Maintains costs of program within the parameters of the annual budget.
Qualifications
Speech-LanguagePathologist:
M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school required.
State license to practice as a Speech-LanguagePathologist required.
Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association preferred.
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.
Current, valid CPR/BLS credential.
Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required.

Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center is seeking a licensed part time or full time SpeechLanguagePathologist for our Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing Program. This position will work with ages birth through school age at our Williamsville clinic. Some travel would be required to provide services in the community.
Candidates must have a NYS SLP license with knowledge/experience in pediatric feeding and swallowing. CF candidates are not eligible for this position. Prior experience is not required, but candidates must have foundational knowledge in dysphagia with adults and/or pediatrics. This may be a full time salaried position working 37.5 hours per week, part time hourly position working at least 2 days (15 hours) a week, or a Fee for Service position (paid per therapy session completed).
Job Duties:
* Display competence in the area of speech-language impairment. Determines type and severity of speech-language impairment. Determines prognosis and appropriate treatment for speech-language impairments.
* Evaluation, diagnosis, and recommendation for therapeutic intervention for individuals with communication disorders. Working collaboratively with other professionals such as other SLPs, OTs, PTs, Audiologists, supervisors and other as appropriate.
