    Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (Full-Time), to join our team in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Work Schedule: Monday 9:30am-6pm, Tuesday 10:30am-7pm, Wednesday 10:30am-7pm, Thursday 9:30am-6pm, Friday 8:30am-5pm Provides speech-language pathology patient examination, evaluation, intervention, documentation, parent/caregiver education, communication and coordination of care with medical/clinical staff and outside agencies as appropriate within the guidelines designated by the department and the Delaware Valley policies and procedures. Maintains core competencies and any additional competencies determined to be necessary by the management team to ensure patient care needs are met. * Based on programmatic need and licensure requirements may be required to provide inpatient/outpatient coverage at various locations associated with Nemours. * Demonstrates proficiency in the care of all ages: pediatrics, adolescents, and adults. Demonstrates proficiency in the care of neonates as required by assignment. * Able to provide speech-language pathology services to a variety of patient types with recognition of his/her own limitations while seeking appropriate mentorship as needed. * Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy #7980.3.3, Joint Commission, and CARF standards. * Attends meetings related to patient treatment and contributes to discussion as an interdisciplinary team member. * Consults with other services, families, and outside agencies to recommend durable medical equipment, home/school modifications and transitional therapy program prior to discharge from therapy. * Maintains knowledge of and familiarity with insurance referral/authorization process and documentation requirements related to therapy services. * Completes all mandatory training which may include, but is not limited to safety, infection control, corporate compliance, HIPAA, bioterrorism, CPR and program specific respiratory training. * Participates in triage and coverage planning as necessary to meet patient care and departmental needs. * Team Work: Participates in conflict identification and resolution. Works cooperatively on multidisciplinary, single discipline, program specific and specialty teams. Assists in maintenance of department space and equipment. * When required by assignment, participates in weekend/holiday inpatient coverage rotation, including checking the code blue cart per guideline #7980.GL.24. Job Requirements * Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or its equivalent from an ASHA-accredited university required. * Minimum of 3-6 months experience required. New graduates will be considered based on educational experiences. * State of Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology License or provisional/temporary license required upon hire. * Must obtain State of Delaware Speech-Language Pathology License. Must submit license or proof of application submission within 2 weeks of job acceptance, but this second license is not required to be active at the start of employment. All clinical staff will maintain dual licensure. * AHA BLS Certification required within 6 months of hire date and must be maintained for the duration of employment. * ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or Clinical fellowship Year (CFY) in-process with goal of achieving CCC-SLP within 10-12 months required. * Member of professional specialty organizations (ASHA, State Speech and Hearing Assoc.) preferred. * Clinical affiliation and/or work experience in pediatrics preferred.
