The pathologist designs and implements specialized treatment/therapy plans for qualified students through direct and indirect support to minimize the adverse impact on the individual student's success in the general education curriculum and in the least restrictive environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Displays knowledge and understanding of District, State and Federal procedures, policies and regulations by adherence to requirements, maintaining confidentiality and completing student records and reports accurately and on time. Assesses students' communication skills for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for therapy. Coordinates meetings with parents, teachers, administrators, support personnel and other professionals to present evaluation results, determine speech and language needs, develop appropriate Individualized Education Programs, and monitor progress of students.
