POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to work at Monarch School for students ages 5 through 21 with autism. The Speech Language Pathologist will work within an interdisciplinary team that provides communication, academic, sensory, behavioral, and therapeutic support for children or adolescents with autism. Through our collaboration with Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, we offer many opportunities for professional growth. Our small caseload sizes (approximately 12 students), interdisciplinary team approach, and access to the latest technology provide a unique work environment. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Provide direct speech therapy to students in one-on-one and small group settings Provide consultation and push-in therapy for generalization of skills. Administer diagnostic assessments (formal and informal evaluations including the analysis of language samples) to autistic children and provide a detailed report of the findings. Develop and run differentiated social pragmatic groups pertinent to the strengths and weaknesses of the group. Manage all communication aspects of social skills training. Write, implement and manage IEP goals and objectives. Participate in proactive and reactive Behavior Management techniques.
