Essential Functions
* Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
* Adhere to the North Carolina Professional Speech Language-Pathologist Standards
* Administer and/or evaluate hearing or speech and language test results, barium swallow results, or medical or background information to diagnose and plan treatment
* Provide augmentative and alternative communication (ACC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder or progressive neurological disorders
* Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services related to expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language
* Compile results into comprehensive written reports which reflect strengths and barriers to student participation in the educational environment
* Develop and/or implement speech language-based intervention plans for student needs and evaluation results such as stuttering, delayed language, swallowing disorders, or inappropriate pitch or harsh voice problems
* Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations and develop individual education plans (IEP) and intervention plans to achieve student goals
* Collaborate with school staff, parents, and assigned students to increase understanding of the student's therapy program
* Provide targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and performance in school environment
* Accurately maintain records as required by state or federal laws, and district policies
* Monitor the effectiveness of speech language intervention and the need to continue, monitor, or discontinue intervention
* Develop individual or group activities, or programs, in schools to address speech, language, or swallowing problems
* Provide communication instruction to dialect speakers or students with limited English proficiency
* Supervise and guide speech language pathology assistants, interns, paraprofessionals, etc.

Responsibilities
As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:
Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, or other related field from an accredited college or university.
Valid North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology License, or the ability to obtain.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Ability to pass a background screening, drug test, & driver history check.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Maximum of three vehicle infractions within the last two (2) years.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assessment, evaluation, and treatment of all referred patients.
Appropriate and timely development of Plan of Care for patients served.
Establish treatment goals and milestones with patients
Appropriate and timely documentation of progress toward goals.
Appropriate and timely communication of patient status to members of their interdisciplinary team.
Counsel, educate, and instruct patients and their families regarding their speech-language therapy
Attend patient care team meetings, IFSP & IEP Meetings, and other conference as requested.
Attend and participate in continuing educational programs
Attend and participate in mandatory in-service training.
Comply with HIPAA laws.
Perform other duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.

Abound Health is seeking a Contract Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our North Carolina team. In this flexible, contract role, you ll provide Specialized Consultative Services (SCS) to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You ll have the autonomy to set your own schedule and manage your caseload while delivering services either in person or via telehealth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide authorized Specialized Consultative Services in clients homes, communities, or virtually
Conduct observations and assessments to develop individualized intervention plans
Create written intervention plans outlining therapeutic strategies, assistive technology, and caregiver training
Train and support family members, caregivers, and staff in implementing intervention techniques
Monitor, document, and evaluate client progress and adjust plans as needed
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with care coordinators
Maintain documentation and adhere to all state, federal, and company standards for client care and privacy
Qualifications:
Active North Carolina licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in good standing
Minimum of 18 years of age
Ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions
No findings of abuse or neglect on the NC Health Care Personnel Registry
Not listed on any state or federal exclusion or sex offender registries
Meets all qualifications outlined in the Innovations Waiver and applicable Medicaid standards
Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical problem-solving skills
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
Education:
