Role Overview:
As an SLP, you will develop and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students whose ability to communicate has been impacted by developmental differences, disabilities, or injuries. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver therapy and interventions to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address communication disorders.
Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to develop and implement strategies that support students' speech, language, and communication development.
Offer expertise in speech and language assessments, goal setting, and progress monitoring to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations and support.
Document all services, assessments, and interventions provided, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements.
Qualifications:
Master s degree or higher in SpeechLanguage Pathology.
Illinois PEL with Speech-Language endorsement (or Type 73, Type 10, or Type 03/09)

Speech-LanguagePathologists (SLP) evaluate and provide skilled speech-language therapy to individuals in a home setting, under the care of an attending physician. The SpeechLanguagePathologist will:
Evaluate patient's speech, language and swallowing abilities in order to formulate and conduct treatment plan designed to improve communicative efficiency of patients with communication problems.
Establish patient treatment goals tailored to each patient's needs and capabilities.
Review patient's chart, interview patient/family and consult with physicians, audiologists and other relevant clinical professionals in order to evaluate patient condition according to standard procedures.
Counsel patients, family members/significant others regarding communication deficits and instruct them in proper management techniques.
Monitor patient progress, re-establish goals and revise treatment, and alert physicians to changes in patient's condition.
Evaluate patient's current pain levels (0-10) and history of recent pain experience; provide appropriate pain education and intervention in consultation with physician and pain specialists as needed; provide ongoing assessment of pain and implementation of tools for management.
Maintain clinical records including writing diagnostic reports, progress reports, discharge summaries, re-evaluations and rechecks, summarizing family and professional contact and logging daily statistics and other clinical data.
Attend patient team conferences, clinics, in-service education classes, and meetings in order to gather and exchange patient/treatment information.
Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the SRAbilityLab.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports directly to assigned Clinical Manager, Therapy Manager-Innovation Center, Therapy Manager-AbilityLab.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Qualifications
The Speech/LanguagePathologist would evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with orders from the physician, through the use of therapeutic procedures designed to improve speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders to overcome disabilities from a variety of causes. The Speech/LanguagePathologist will work as a member of a team providing support and information within the area of Speech/Language Pathology. The Speech/LanguagePathologist will provide therapy services in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology
Current state license/certification
Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation
Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to provide therapy services in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care
Demonstrate competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in specific therapy discipline
Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
