The Direct Support Professional (DSP) Float is a position designed to provide fill in or substitute coverage at any assigned service site and may be scheduled for hours that are vacant due to staff turnover, changes in scheduling, or staff paid time off. Work assignments may be during any scheduled hours and at any sites where Dungarvin Eau Claire, WI. provides services.
Working directly as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver Float, you will be able to assist in a residential group home by assisting people with disabilities achieve a variety of outcomes, assist with personal cares and provide normalization/community integration. The DSP (caregiver/mentor) is responsible for providing:
Support and mentorship with daily activities to those we support in a manner that ensures their health and safety. Some examples include helping with meals, cleaning, housekeeping, laundry and facilitating fun activities.
Hands-on mentoring to those we serve to help them become more independent.
Positive direction to the individuals to encourage them to achieve their personal goals.
Provide medication administration and ensure person's medical well being.

However, this position requires flexibility in scheduling hours to adapt to changing work conditions related to faculty, students, laboratory classes, and equine program/facility needs. There is an expectation of some weekend/evening and holiday work as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Animal Care and Herd Management
Maintain healthy animals in the equine enterprise in accordance with animal care procedures and protocols and ensure compliance with the IUCAC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) rules and regulations.
Directs and performs day-to-day activities related to horse farm operations such as feeding and monitoring of feed quality; watering; cleaning and bedding stalls and pens.
Develop a management plan, maintain electronic records, and perform or manage health care procedures in the equine herd including but not limited to farrier and dental care, wound evaluation and management, routine medical administrations, and lameness evaluations.
Laboratory Farm Maintenance and Operations Management

We are currently looking for Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team. Successful candidates will have the following:
At least 18 years of age
A CNA certification in good standing in South Carolina
Experience with PCC is preferred
Compassion for an underserved population
Willingness to work a 12-hour shift
