The role of the midwife is to be the primary care provider to clients and their newborns during the childbearing year. * Provides prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum care and newborn care up to 6 weeks according to CMM standards.
* Practice expectation includes being responsible for managing augmentations and inductions of labor, with oxytocin once the consult with the Obstetrician has occurred.

* Provides shared on-call coverage within a group practice, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
