Completing Kalitta Air shipping/receiving documents by following procedures, I/A/W the Kalitta Air GMM. Selecting an appropriate carrier based on delivery requirements to ensure on-time, economical delivery, and being knowledgeable of common carrier terminologies to ensure accuracy of freight documents. Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments. Separating delivery and pick up shipments for various warehouses, Quality Control, and other departments. Preparing and packaging material for shipment in accordance with Company procedures, 49 CFR, and IATA Dangerous Goods. Ensuring that inventory balances remain accurate by proper completion of Kalitta Air documents. Knowledge of current computer systems, making accurate data entries in accordance with established procedures. Knowledge of common warehouse practices and warehouse tool operations, for example: forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Any other duties assigned by the Materials Manager or Stockroom Supervisor related to the stockroom and company needs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a high school diploma. It also requires one to hold a valid drivers' license. HAZMAT training preferred, but not required. Forklift truck experience is preferred. Aviation experience preferred, but not required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Also, must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
