Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
1. Graduation from a certified surgical assistant program approved by the Committee on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) or the National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA). Bachelor's degree in science, Nursing or a directly related field, preferred.
2. Certification as a Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
3. Two to three years of experience in surgery.

2. All candidates must successfully complete transport training and meet competency requirements within the probationary period in order to maintain employment.
3. Must be able to read, write legibly, and comprehend written and verbal communications.

5. Previous experience transporting patients is preferred.
6. Previous experience in a hospital/operating room is preferred.
7. Must be highly motivated and consistently demonstrate high standards of responsibility. Must be able to prioritize and plan activities to facilitate the efficient flow of the surgical schedule. Must function independently with minimal supervision.
