We are currently searching for Certified Surgical Technologist to work full-time Mondays - Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include ensuring proper care and use of surgical instruments. You must possess a HS school diploma/GED, have completed a surgical scrub technician course, have operating room experience, and have strong moral and ethical character references. Effective November 1, 2021, AMSURG's Vaccination Policy requires all teammates, including clinicians and independent contractors, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment or engagement. Title Surgical Scrub Technician Reports to: Director of Nurses (DON) Main function Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee Surgery Center, LLC is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician for its Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC). The Surgical Scrub Technician is a member of the surgical team who works with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, RNs, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during and after surgery procedures.Duties, Responsibilities, and Competencies: Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures and the scrub tech role in performing these procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its use in the surgical environment. Demonstrates knowledge of a surgical scrub technician's duties before, during, and after the surgical case. Assembles supplies, equipment, instruments, and all the necessary items for scheduled surgical procedures. Correctly uses, cares for, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, supplies, and equipment. Assists in maintaining adequate supplies in the operating room for immediate access during the procedure as well as storing and stocking supplies. Maintains and updates instruments card/tray lists and surgeons' preference cards regularly. Follows the center exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
