The role supports curriculum delivery and fosters a secure, engaging, and innovative learning environment. * Lab Administration and Infrastructure: * Administer and maintain VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, and Proxmox environments. * Deploy and manage virtual machines for instructional and testing purposes. * Perform Active Directory administration including user/group management and policy enforcement. * Conduct Linux server administration across distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Kali. * Network Security and Monitoring: * Configure and secure Fortinet firewalls. * Monitor and analyze network traffic for anomalies and security threats. * Ensure lab systems are secure, operational, and regularly updated. * Student Support and Instruction: * Deliver hands-on training and tutoring sessions in networking, cybersecurity, and system administration. * Provide technical support to students during lab sessions and projects. * Develop and maintain lab exercises, user guides, and technical documentation. * Program Coordination and Outreach: * Collaborate with faculty and staff to support cybersecurity curriculum delivery. * Assist in promoting the cybersecurity program through outreach and recruitment events. * Support grant-related initiatives and serve as a technical resource for cybersecurity projects. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of safety data related to our products. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Director of PV Operations and cross-functional teams to manage and optimize our safety database systems. Key Responsibilities PV Database Management & Configuration Maintain and configure safety databases (e.g., ArisG, Argus, or similar) to support case processing, reporting, and compliance. Data Integrity & Compliance Ensure accuracy, completeness (experience with UAT testing), and regulatory compliance of safety data in accordance with global PV regulations (FDA, EMA, ICH, etc.). System Integration & Automation Support integration of the safety database with other systems (e.g., E2B gateways, regulatory submission platforms, signal detection tools) and drive automation initiatives. User Support & Training Provide technical support and training to PV users, troubleshoot issues, and manage user access and roles. Reporting & Analytics Generate and validate safety reports, metrics, and dashboards to support PV oversight and decision-making. GENERAL SUMMARY: This position is for an entry level machinery controls system engineer. The main function of the candidate will be to provide lifecycle support of fielded Machinery Control Systems (MCS) on the USS ARLEIGH BURKE class of destroyer. This includes shipboard support as well as Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) support. The USS ARLEIGH BURKE MCS is comprised of four (4) different variants spanning various technologies.
