Description Job Title: Night Shift Technician Location: Bomnin Chevrolet Dadeland Reports To: Service Manager/Director, Service Operations Director Job Status: Full-time, Exempt Department: Service Job Summary: As a Night Shift Technician at Bomnin Chevrolet Dadeland, you are a crucial part of our team responsible for providing expert automotive repair and maintenance services during nighttime hours. Your expertise ensures that our customers' vehicles are safe and running at their best. Key Responsibilities: Night Shift Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles during nighttime hours, including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections. Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles. Repairs: Conduct repairs on vehicles during the night shift, addressing issues with engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Parts Replacement: Replace faulty or worn-out parts and components, such as filters, belts, hoses, and braking systems, to ensure reliable vehicle performance. Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure repairs meet high-quality standards. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all services, repairs, and parts used. Prepare and submit detailed repair reports. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe and secure working environment. Efficiency: Work efficiently to complete tasks within established timeframes and maintain a high level of productivity during nighttime hours. Tool Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly. Position Requirements Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is preferred. Proven experience as an automotive technician. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary. Effective communication skills. Valid driver's license. Requirements: Full-time availability for night shift hours: Monday through Friday, 4 PM to 12 AM. Regular Saturday hours as per the dealership schedule. Proven experience as an automotive technician with expertise in diagnostics and repairs. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong emphasis on workplace safety. Ability to work efficiently and maintain a high level of productivity during nighttime hours. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and technology for automotive repair. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and equipment. Ability to work in tight spaces and physically challenging positions. Ability to work in a fast-paced automotive environment, even during nighttime hours. Work Environment: The Night Shift Technician primarily works in the service bay or repair area within Bomnin Chevrolet Dadeland. The role involves working during nighttime hours from Monday through Friday (4 PM to 12 AM) and regular Saturday hours, with occasional travel required to attend meetings, training, or other business-related events.
