**Position Overview**
The Vice President, Customer Financial Services & Financial Intelligence (CFS/FI) is a senior finance executive responsible for leading largescale, end to end customer finance operations and associated transformation initiatives across Lumen. **Compensation**

The Maine Woods Initiative (MWI) is the Appalachian Mountain Club's (AMC's) strategy for land conservation in Maine's 100-Mile Wilderness. The initiative is an innovative approach to conservation that combines outdoor recreation, resource protection, sustainable forestry and community partnerships. To date, AMC has purchased and permanently conserved 75,000 acres of forest land, created over 120 miles of recreational trails, opened three sporting camps to the public, established an FSC-certified sustainable forestry operation and developed a partnership with local Piscataquis County schools.
Among other duties, the MWI Land Department Supervisor is responsible for managing the winter cross country ski trail grooming program and winter parking lot maintenance, maintaining signage, plowing and sanding road ways and maintaining access points. To achieve the desired winter grooming results, the Land Department Supervisor manages winter grooming staff in the daily duties of care and upkeep of AMC's extensive cross country ski trails. In the summer months the Land Department Supervisor oversees a maintenance crew on the repair of ski season trails.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and perform pre-season maintenance on winter ski trails and signage. Manage and oversee necessary grooming and winter road maintenance as season progresses.
- Manage and work with a trail crew in the construction and maintenance of trails.
- Support land management work as directed by the Land Manager, including road maintenance, BMP (Best Management Practices) compliance and forestry activities as needed.
- Assist the Land Department Mechanic with equipment maintenance as needed, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Provide friendly and attentive professional guest services.
- Provide safe transportation of guests, luggage and cargo to and from facilities, via company vehicle, as necessary.
- Provides periodic backup support to facility, trails and education staff as requested by the Operations Director.
- Implement energy conservation and environmentally sound practices in daily operations.
- Provide information to visitors and guests about the AMC, local natural and cultural history, risk management, outdoor recreation opportunities and AMC land management practices.
- Maintain accurate financial records and control routine expenses based on an approved, annual operating budget.
- Attend off-site meetings as needed and as schedules permit.
- Assist in the development of short and long range plans and operating and capital budgets.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy construction equipment including excavators and tractors.
- Ability to safely operate and maintain a wide range of power equipment while working in remote areas for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate a snowmobile in remote areas and experience grooming ski/snowmobile trails preferred.
- This position requires the physical ability to travel safely in the backcountry in all weather conditions, year round, carrying up to 40 pounds of gear.

- Ability to be a solid team leader while also working alone at times.

The MWI Facilities Manager is responsible, in coordination with the MWI Operations Manager, for year-round operational management, staff supervision, delivery of guest services and risk management at AMCs' high quality, full service, facilities in the Moosehead Lake Region of Maine. The MWI Facilities Manager is an ambassador for the AMC and is expected to support the delivery of AMC activities, programs and facility services and represent the AMC at conferences, meetings and trade shows. The MWI Facilities Manager is responsible for the quality, safety and efficiency of MWI guest services delivery with a specific focus on staff hiring/supervision/development, logistics coordination, total guest experience and necessary facility operations.
Priorities include, supervising the Lodge Managers and Maintenance Staff, fulfilling operational needs, facilities management and supporting AMC's mission of providing responsible outdoor recreation activities, education opportunities and conservation practices. The Facilities Manager will work closely with the MWI Programs & Recreation Manager to develop appropriate programming to enhance the guest experience and also increase overall occupancy.
This position is a member of the MWI Sr. Leadership Team, and works closely with the Operations Manager, Land Manager and Programs & Recreation Manager to support all MWI operations. This is a full time, year round exempt position with benefits.
Goals and specific objectives are developed annually based on short and long range goals for MWI. Performance, in relation to goals and objectives, is evaluated periodically during the year.
Responsibilities in collaboration with MWI Sr. Leadership Staff:
Supervise all MWI Lodge Managers for the year-round delivery of a warm, welcoming and safe atmosphere for all guests
Supervise the maintenance staff to ensure that all facilities are well maintained, operating efficiently and safely, and coordinating with the Land Manager on road and trail needs
Work with the MWI Operations Manager to oversee capital improvement projects and manage external contractors
Hire, supervise, train and evaluate seasonal and full-time staff based on AMC/MWI policies
Provide friendly and attentive professional guest services
Work to increase retention of staff and raise the value of the employee investment
Assist in the recruitment and hiring of all MWI staff
Represent the AMC and MWI at meetings, conferences, job fairs and trade shows
Implement energy conservation and environmentally sound practices in daily operations
Provide information to visitors and guests about the AMC, local natural and cultural history, risk management, outdoor recreation opportunities, and AMC land management practices
Maintain accurate financial records and control routine expenses based on an approved, annual operating budget
Attend off-site meetings as needed and as MWI schedules permit
Assist in the development of short and long range plans and operating and capital budgets
Assist in the development of marketing plans to promote MWI facilities and programs
Read and comply with all AMC and MWI policy and procedure in relation to the position

Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service skills and outgoing friendly attitude
Demonstrated management ability, experience in facility management, staff supervision, hospitality services, and/or related activities
Ability to supervise and manage employees to complete a diverse variety of work tasks and non-conventional work schedules
Ability to hike, paddle, ski, snowshoe and instruct others in these activities as required
Ability to design, coordinate and lead appropriate outdoor programs, train staff in outdoor leadership and hard skills and manage associated equipment resources
Ability to perform work in a remote camp setting and travel safely in the backcountry in all weather conditions, carrying up to 40 lbs of gear.

The Land Department Assistant is a resident host for the AMC and is expected to support the delivery of AMC activities, programs and facility services. Priorities include, maintaining and grooming trails, maintaining signage, plowing and sanding road ways, and maintaining access points all in a high quality condition, fulfilling operational needs, supporting AMC's programs and the mission of providing responsible outdoor recreation activities, education opportunities and conservation practices.

Responsibilities in collaboration with MWI Land Department Supervisor and Maintenance Staff:
Maintain and groom winter ski trails, maintain trail signage, winter road maintenance (plowing, sanding)
Provide friendly and attentive professional guest services
Provide safe transportation of guests to and from facilities, via company vehicle, as necessary
Work closely with staff in the construction of trails.
Assist in the transport guests luggage to and from the winter parking areas to the appropriate lodge
Assist with the transportation of cargo to and from the lodges
Provides periodic backup support to lodge staff as requested by the Operations Manager
Perform snowmobile and equipment maintenance as required and maintain the neatness and operations of maintenance and equipment storage areas
Implement energy conservation and environmentally sound practices in daily operations
Provide information to visitors and guests about the AMC, local natural and cultural history, risk management, outdoor recreation opportunities, and AMC land management practices

Plan and implement multi-channel digital engagement campaigns that support the organization's advocacy, fundraising, and outreach objectives while enhancing brand awareness.
Manage NRCM's organization-wide email program and CRM-led supporter journeys.
Write, create, and publish engaging digital content across email, website, social media, and other platforms. Provide back-up on website and social media as needed.
Produce webinars in coordination with Advocacy and Philanthropy departments.
Lead a paid digital strategy across multiple existing and emerging social platforms and media outlets, including lead generation campaigns.
Cultivate and manage relationships with online influencers in support of NRCM's brand and advocacy objectives.
Ensure digital campaigns are aligned with brand guidelines, organizational priorities and initiatives, and long-term strategic planning.
Measure and report regularly on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the digital engagement program. Conduct A/B tests and analyze data to continually refine and optimize engagement
Collaborate with staff across departments to maximize effectiveness of Every Action and VAN in engaging members and supporters online.
Monitor evolving digital engagement trends, and implement, where and when feasible, new solutions that lead to stewardship and growth.
Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated experience managing digital engagement, fundraising, or marketing campaigns for stewardship and growth.
Prior experience with online CRM applications, database management, website, and social media platforms. Experience with Every Action (CRM) and Wordpress (CMS) is a plus.
Ability to present complex information in creative and accessible ways. Demonstrated skills in writing, design, and - digital content creation.
Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into effective digital strategies that support and advance advocacy and/or fundraising goals.
Strong background in advocacy, electoral, and/or public interest issue campaigns with the ability to learn environmental policy issues quickly and communicate complex issues in simple and persuasive terms.
Ability to collaborate effectively and build respectful relationships across departments and teams.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

The Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC), America's oldest conservation, education and recreation organization, is now searching for a Maine Education & Program Manager! As the Maine Education & Program Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of high quality, four season outdoor programs in two service areas: the Maine Woods Community Youth and Environment Project (MWCYEP) and the Maine Woods Initiative (MWI) Programs.
MWCYEP, a component of AMC's A Mountain Classroom Program, works closely with a variety of community partners to provide environmental education, youth positive development and outdoor recreation learning experiences to youth from Piscataquis County and Jackman, Maine. Responsibilities include program design, scheduling, curriculum decisions and logistics. Direct field instruction with youth, teachers and families is an important part of this role. Programs include day-long and overnight outdoor experiences.
For the MWI Programs, the Maine Education & Program Manager will coordinate the implementation of pre-scheduled day and overnight outdoor guided adventures, special events and recreational experiences for adults and families at AMC's Maine Wilderness Lodges and on the MWI Conservation Lands.
Responsibilities include coordinating field instructional staff to lead outdoor recreation trips, experiential courses and educational opportunities to instruct and enlighten visitors and guests at the AMC's MWI backcountry facilities.
The position is responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of two full-time, year-round Field Instructors and will be required to successfully collaborate and communicate with AMC staff at multiple locations to achieve diverse programmatic goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Four-year college degree in Environmental Education, Earth Science, Outdoor Recreation or Natural Resources Management or other combinations of relevant education and experience.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated and progressively increasing environmental or outdoor leadership experience, including experiential program delivery, wilderness trip leading or ecology education.
- Demonstrated management experience. Ability to promote staff development and teamwork. Cooperative approach to working with others in a large and diverse organization.
- Ability to perform work in a remote camp setting and travel safely in the backcountry in all weather conditions, carrying up to 40 pounds of gear. Work is also performed in a standard office setting.
- Valid Wilderness First Aid certification or the ability to obtain (WFR or WEMT preferred).
- Maine Guide registration or the ability to obtain.
- Valid Maine driver's license or the ability to obtain and DOT certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills for a fast-paced and changeable program schedule.
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. This includes performing on-call duties for youth and adult programs on a rotating basis as well as managing field evacuations and hospital visits in collaboration with other MWI employees.

Community Health is the liaison between the hospitals and our community. As such, we have several different programs, many of which are prevention-based, that we offer to our communities. Our department does work under the Healthy Eating, Active Living and Tobacco grants, both under the Maine Prevention Network. We have a growing community health worker program that works with individuals to meet their health-related goals. We teach evidence-based healthy aging classes such as Matter of Balance and Tai Chi. We also work under two dementia-related grants. We support food access through our 11 Help Yourself Shelves. This work spans both Knox and Waldo Counties. This is just a snapshot of what our Community Health department does.
The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment. We are looking for an intern that will provide support with new programming such as Food Is Medicine and the SHAW initiative around youth mental health. The intern would also work within our food access program to map out and promote food access resources such as Maine Federation of Farmers' Markets programming.
