The Role
As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will be responsible for evaluating residents' functional abilities and designing individualized treatment plans to improve independence in daily activities. You'll provide hands-on therapy, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality rehabilitation services that support our residents' goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Evaluate residents' functional, cognitive, and psychosocial needs using standardized assessments.
· Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to improve daily living skills, mobility, and safety.
· Provide therapeutic interventions including adaptive equipment training, therapeutic exercise, and functional retraining.
· Educate residents, families, and staff on strategies to support rehabilitation goals.
· Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
· Collaborate with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other team members to deliver coordinated care.
· Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
· Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of practice.
· Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
· Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred.
· Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. GVBSC is hiring For the Registered Behavior Technician position, part-time or full-time. This position is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing and treatment of injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard physical therapy practices. **As an Outpatient Physical Therapist at Rocky Mountain Orthopedics, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:**
+ **Competent Services:** Performing and documenting initial and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions. Developing plans describing a treatment strategy, its purposes, and its anticipated outcome. Plans often include exercise regimens at the clinic and at home to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance. Using various modalities to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
+ **Documentation and Monitoring:** Providing information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Helping to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability. Determining patients' ability to be independent and reintegrate into the workplace or community after injury or illness.
+ **Communication:** Promoting the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abiding by service behavior standards. Communicating effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers about patient needs and goals.
+ **Environment Maintenance:** Maintaining a clean and inviting work environment according to health department codes and facility standards.
+ **Research and Development:** Assisting in research initiatives as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
+ Basic Computer skills.
+ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Possess skill sets and experience with target population of job setting.
+ Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
+ Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
+ Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
+ Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
+ May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provides differential diagnosis for patients/residents with speech, language, swallowing disorders.
- Provides written reports to both contracted facility or agency and patient/ residents physician.
- Establishes and carries out treatment programs on the basis of the diagnostics information available which will meet the patient's functional communicative needs.
- Educational instruction to the patient/resident, family, and appropriate restorative personnel regarding the communication disorder to facilitate recovery.
- Interacts regularly with other members of the rehabilitation team and nursing staff on the patients treatment plan, progress, and prognosis.
- Develops appropriate home and community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of the patient in their environment.
- Terminates service when benefit has been achieved.
