Baylor Scott & White Health McLane Children's Medical Center in Central Texas is looking for a pediatric psychologist with expertise in autism and developmental disabilities to join our team within the section of Child Development. The primary focus of the position is diagnostic evaluation and assessment of children with autism, learning and behavioral difficulties. There also is an opportunity to provide evidence-based treatment. Applicants must have a PhD or PsyD in clinical child or pediatric psychology from an APA accredited graduate doctoral program and have completed an APA accredited internship in clinical child or pediatric psychology. Formal postdoctoral fellowship training in autism or related area of specialization is preferred.
Position Highlights
Perform comprehensive evaluations for autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and learning disabilities
Proficiency with a wide range of psychological tests (e.g. ADOS-2 Modules 1-4, CARS-2, WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WIAT-4)
Ability to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including developmental pediatricians, speech therapists, and occupational therapists.
Texas license to practice psychology issued by the State Board of Examiners of Psychologist or license eligible in Texas
Preference for candidates with Board Certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) or whose professional trajectory includes board certification when eligible
About McLane Children's Medical Center:
Our five-story McLane Children's Specialty Clinic is located next to our free-standing Children's Hospital. The hospital features include 115 patient beds: 48 private medical/surgical rooms, 16 private Pediatric ICU rooms and a 24- hour, level II pediatric emergency department and verified trauma center equipped to deal with the most serious pediatric trauma cases. A level IV, 51 bed Neonatal ICU is located nearby on the main BSWMC, Temple campus.

TITLE ACUPUNCTURIST for Weekends/Weekdays Flexible Hours
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet with patients to obtain information about their complaints, symptoms, medical history, diet, lifestyle, and psychological health.
Make diagnoses, according to Chinese Medicine and determine treatment strategies.
Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for treatment.
Identify precise locations on a patients body where needles should be inserted, or where electrical or heat stimulation is to be applied.
Perform the following modalities: acupuncture, gua sha, cupping and electrical stimulation of the needles.
Following a procedure, consult with the patient about other therapy, diet, exercise, and emotional health, Suggest possible treatment involving herbal medicine.
Evaluate treatment outcomes and maintain patient records.
Comply with quality, safety, and infection-prevention protocols, as well as laws and regulations.
Work cooperatively with Client Services and other colleagues.
Receive continuing education, read trade journals, and keep up-to-date on industry practices and regulations.
Clean treatment rooms and equipment used after treatments.
Attend and participant in company meetings and training.
Ability to operate 2 - 3 treatment rooms simutaneously.
JOB RELATED SKILLS AND QUALITIES Great compassion and communication skills, in addition to Chinese Medicine, basic knowledge of yoga, massage and tea, comfortable talking with clients, and retail sales is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires frequent bending at the waist, brisk walking and keen eyesight. Need be able to assist disable clients and will need to be able to lift 50 lbs.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) role working with adults and children at our Pathlight Mood and Anxiety PHP program in Round Rock, TX. Must have active TX licensure.

What you'll be doing:
The Milieu Therapist is a licensed therapist who facilitates skills groups and psychotherapy groups based on core curriculum, provides meal monitoring and meal support, and offers milieu support, de-escalation and behavior coaching to patients in inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitates curriculum-based groups
Provides meal monitoring and support.
Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations 15% Provides support to Milieu including the following:
De-escalation and crisis management
Bathroom monitoring and support for eating disorder patients
Monitoring outside breaks Conducts self-harm and suicide assessment
Support morning routine in IP/Res programs
Collects and reports weights, vitals and urine in some settings
Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends. Will lead some psychotherapy groups.
Coverage for Primary Therapists (for individual, family and group therapies as well as for patient assessments) with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical Director
Must Haves:
Graduate degree in mental health or related degree program- required
Bachelors degree- required
Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board- required
Strong knowledge of therapeutic principles and techniques- required
Ability to manage group dynamics effectively Proficient in keeping timely, detailed and accurate records- required
Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively- required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Required
Bonus Qualities:
1+ year facilitating group-based treatment interventions- preferred
1+ year providing crisis management support and interventions- preferred
