Job Summary
Works in coordination with interdisciplinary teams to organize, prepare, and deliver evidence-based substance use and addiction treatment services. Maintains ethical principles and professional standards of practice in adherence to the discipline's professional code of ethics.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to conduct a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment, develops and implements treatment/discharge plan, monitors progress of interventions and revises plan to meet patient and family needs, and coordinates consults/referrals to remove barriers and promote the individualized care plan, detox, and/or substance use rehab.
Provides education to patient/family with respect to meeting established goals, including but not limited to disease prevention and progression, advocacy for benefits, and maintenance of treatment regimen.
Provides direct patient care that may include case management, care coordination, interdisciplinary collaboration for care transition needs, crisis intervention/safety planning, counseling, and emotional support to patients and families coping with illness, trauma, referral and discharge planning.
Maintains timely, patient-centered documentation that reflects the patient and client systems' pertinent information for assessment, interventions and outcomes in accordance with regulatory licensing requirements and third-party agencies.
Participates in administrative and developmental activities including team meetings and clinical supervision by program manager.
Works as a team member to contribute to improved patient experience.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related Human Service field
Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with substance use disorders or addiction services
LCSW, LADC, or LPC; responsible for maintaining current licensure
Valid Driver's License
Computer proficient
Ability to assess problems, determine solutions, and make decisions within a timely manner
Utilize supervision and team approaches in the context of patient assessment and clinical interventions

The children served in Child First range in age from prenatal up to 6 years of age.
The Center for Youth and Families supports clinicians work by providing, weekly individual and team clinical supervision, weekly clinical group supervision to review cases and interact with colleagues, professional development opportunities that include training in the Child First model, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and additional clinical topics, committed focus on employee wellbeing, work-life balance, and professional growth, and regular engagement with Department Medical Director & Administrator.
The Child First Clinician engages with families and the Child First Care Coordinator in the collaborative assessment process.

Provides and documents direct patient care according to the Care Plan, within set target dates, and according to all departmental policies. Designs music sessions for individuals and groups based on client needs. Provides basic and specialized teaching as required in the Plan of Care and documents the response of patients and/or family in the patient's record.
Regularly evaluates patient's progress, takes prompt action when any change in the patient's condition is noted or reported, and terminates care when goals of management are attained for patients of all ages. Participates in treatment planning, ongoing evaluation and follow-up. Re-evaluates and documents the patient's response to music therapy. Based on patient response does appropriate modifications to the Care Plan in a timely manner. Recognizes changes in the patient's physical and mental status and informs health care professionals within a reasonable timeframe.
Identifies own learning needs and seeks direction/approval from supervisor to meet those needs as documented on the goal section of the performance appraisal.
Educates staff about the role of the Music Therapist and the use of music therapy interventions with hospice patients and families.

Schedule: Day shift
The Activities Therapist is responsible for planning, organizing and leading art therapy, music therapy, or recreational therapy activities on all units. The Activities Therapist will work with patients whose abilities to manage usual activities of daily living are compromised by behavioral health/substance abuse problems. The delivery of Activities Therapy services can include formulation of a treatment plan, implementation of the plan, and documentation of all services provided.
As an Activities Therapist:
Treats the patient with dignity and respect by demonstrating compassion and emotional support by using a calm voice and maintaining good eye contact.
Develops group programming by researching pertinent topics and facilitating patient groups.
Demonstrates Trauma Informed Care practices by: maintaining appropriate personal and physical boundaries, meeting with patients in open areas, not disclosing information of a personal nature to patients.
Utilizes Group Process to assess patient needs and initiates appropriate interventions.
Documents accurately in the patient record using approved format and language that is appropriate for anyone
Contributes to the development of a comprehensive Group curriculum based on specific patient populations
Develops a group program that is creative and dynamic.
Routinely evaluates the group program using metrics, patient preferences and patient outcomes.
Provides Alternative to Group resources for patients who cannot or decline to attend group program.
Contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues and others by acting as a preceptor or resource for new or less experienced staff
Maintains competencies in restraint reduction, CPR, and other required in-services and certifications.
An Activities Therapist will have the following:
Bachelor s degree in Music Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation preferred
Master s degree in Art Therapy preferred
Certification by profession s credentialing board (either art, music, recreational therapy) preferred
Previous inpatient healthcare experience in one of the above disciplines preferred.

To further the ability of the chemically dependent individual to live a healthy lifestyle independently by supervising and assisting direct facility, managing house activities and serving as a liaison to others involved with support services on an assigned shift.
Job Duties
Hold and maintain the safety and well-being of the guest as the number one priority
Ensure that all paperwork submitted is accurate and up-to-date (e.g., timesheets and mileage sheets)
Maintain and monitor records according to facility policy
Complete reports on guest goals progress and significant changes
Document all house problems or incidents and report safety issues timely
Community supervision of the guest population
Serve as a point-of-contact for emergencies and urgent questions.
Monitor guest duties and responsibilities and provide developmental feedback to guests regarding their performance
Investigate and attempt to resolve problems that arise in the community
Help to maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant living environment for guests
Prepare for, attend and oversee all required guest meetings
Report needed household repairs to Milieu Staff Lead
Supervise on and off campus activities
Communicate supervision of the guest population
Responsible for the overall operations of the guests' Dorm residence
Manage and resolve any guest issues
Ensure a clean, safe, and friendly guest environment
Maintain all facility operations of the Dorm including adherence to schedules, meals, lights out, and facility cleanliness schedules
If applicable, teach the 12 Steps to guests
Facilitate Living Sober groups, AA meetings on and off campus and conduct Chapel deliberations as needed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION STATEMENT

Minimum Qualification:
A high school diploma or equivalent degree required
A minimum of one year of sobriety
Required Basic Training (e.g., CPR / First Aid, NARCAN)
Experience and skills in working in social services programs
Thorough knowledge of state regulations and all JC Accreditation services related to other housing services.
A valid class “F” endorsement on the driver's license and documentation of appropriate automobile insurance. High Watch will assist in acquiring a class “F” endorsement license if individual does not have that class.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED
Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, especially word processing
Ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive reports
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to carry out and finish assigned projects
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Ability to plan and organize work, and manage the projects and deadlines of him/herself.
