Must have 24-36 months of experience working as a Maritime Field Service Technician either in the commercial industry, fishing industry, the USCG or the Navy.
Computer networking knowledge (Ethernet, serial communications protocols).
Knowledge of marine navigation equipment including but not limited to radars, gyrocompasses, autopilots, ECDIS, GMDSS, etc.
Strong knowledge of electronics theory and application.

Perform construction duties on a daily basis ensuring quality construction for expedited commercial deployment of services as directed by Superintendent and/or Tower Crew Lead.
What You Will Do - Primary Responsibilities
Perform tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.
Read Plans, Site Plans and Tower Drawings.
Install, connect and test underground and above ground grounding systems.
Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by planning, prioritizing, and mobilizing staff, materials to meet schedule.
Ensure Tower Crew Lead is apprised of construction progress, concerns, and deviations from plans or established schedule.
Identify all materials and other resources needed to complete project.
Identify construction "punch list" of items to be remedied and ensure they are completed prior to customer's inspection.
Maintain and enforce all SBA and OSHA safety practices, perform daily job-site safety inspections on equipment prior to operation.
Work with Construction Supervisor and Tower Crew Lead to analyze job requirements such as labor and materials.
Must be able to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays and evening hours.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete all aspects of SBA's Tower U and TS&R training classes.

Your Impact
Responsibilities include:
Execute qualification and reliability testing of Acacia products under the direction of a reliability engineer.
Perform reliability testing using existing test platforms, fixturing, and software.
Assist in validating and reporting test data related to reliability testing for novel photonic packages and die.
Support the development and building of new test platforms.
Develop knowledge and experience in optics design, manufacturing, testing, and reliability through test development assistance.
Investigate failures and collaborate closely with Design and Process Development teams to determine root causes and implement reliability improvements.
Work closely with design, engineering, manufacturing, and vendors in component failure analysis to drive corrective actions and qualification.
Assist in failure analysis activities.
Participate in lab maintenance activities.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Optical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science or related discipline or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience working with optical fiber devices.
Experience in soldering.
Preferred Qualifications
Willingness to learn and interest in quality and reliability engineering for optical communications components and systems.
Familiarity with development of custom test racks and software to drive qualification testing.
Willingness to learn about Design for Reliability and Physics of Failure Analysis techniques and models, Telcordia and JEDEC qualification and reliability standards related to module assemblies and associated components, e.g. die, passives, optical components, capacitors, diodes.
Physical and electrical characterization techniques.
Knowledge of programming languages/software such as Python, Matlab, and Labview desirable.
