The Shuttle Bus Driver (Van Driver) drives minibus or van to transport clients, trainees, or company personnel; drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to social services or rehabilitation center, training location, job site, or other destination according to assigned schedule. This driver may assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle, secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip; may operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service, clean and/or service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories, keep records of trips and/or behavior of passengers, and perform other duties when not driving such as, custodial and building maintenance tasks. Position Description:
* Assists passengers and military units as required, in all weather conditions to include but not limited to intense heat, smoke, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, snow, sleet, and ice.

Assist warehouse in storing incoming produce, returning produce to coolers, fuels trucks and trailer refrigeration unit, occasionally product orders, hook and unhook truck from trailer, inspect equipment, load, unload trailer, and breakdown pallets of produce. Education

Experience
1-year experience in public transportation or relevant experience.
Experience in the operation and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles.
Experience in driving a wheelchair accessible van/bus, 15-passenger van.

Preferred
Preferred experience in driving a bus with 8 36 seats.
Knowledge and experience working with cultural diversities.
License/Certification
A valid Alaska Driver's License and be eligible to obtain a Class B CDL license with passenger and airbrake endorsements and must remain insurable under the Tribe's policy.
Current First Aid and CPR certification, or within 90 days of hire.
MANDT certified, or within 90 days of hire.

Job Description
The Role
Drives company truck to deliver produce to customers on an assigned route.
Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To
Assist warehouse in storing incoming produce, returning produce to coolers, fuels trucks and trailer refrigeration unit, occasionally product orders, hook and unhook truck from trailer, inspect equipment, load, unload trailer, and breakdown pallets of produce. Fill out and complete required paperwork in a timely manner. Our delivery drivers are responsible for the local delivery of produce to predetermined customers on a specific route in a safe and timely manner. Load and unload truck with pallet jack or hand truck, pick up returns, interact with all customers in a professional manner, help resolve or communicate customer issues with the management team, collect signatures and payment at time of delivery.

Responsible for Quality and Food Safety.

Required Skills and Experience

Duties and Responsibilities:
Load container/truck/trailer/rail to be transported on
Insure load records required, are made and turned in to the proper persons for file record-keeping.
Operate forklift, pallet walker, hand dolly, chain saws, electrical and non-electrical hand tool, shrink wrap machine, and other common hand tools
Maintains warehouse, outside tar area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Operates vehicles in compliance with local and state traffic codes/laws and company procedures
Read and understand traffic signs and controls in accordance with FHWA regulations
Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all vehicles assigned to operate and ensures any necessary repairs are completed according to state and federal regulations prior to arriving and/or leaving the terminal
Track and maintain hours of service logs
Ensures load is properly stowed and secured to prevent shifting or damage while in transit to the delivery location
Examines shipping documents to verify all shipments loaded and is properly segregated and/or separated
Uses proper equipment for safe loading and/or unloading
Comply with safety policies with the understanding that safety is the top priority.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year driving of assigned trucks in a local environment
Valid Alaska CDL Class A with Hazardous Materials endorsement
Valid Medical Card
Possess a good driving record
Must be reliable and flexible with schedule
