Job Summary: The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment for middle school students. The teacher will develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, use various instructional strategies, and assess student progress while providing professional instruction to students using Biblical principles and a Christian worldview. In addition to delivering content, the teacher will foster student growth, contribute to a positive school culture, and collaborate with staff, parents, and administrators to support student success.
Instructional Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and deliver lessons based on curriculum standards.
Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the needs of students.
Encourage student participation.
Assess student performance using formal and informal assessments (tests, quizzes, projects, presentations) to monitor progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to promote academic growth and mastery of content.
Classroom Management
Establish and maintain clear expectations for behavior, creating a respectful, safe, and positive learning environment.
Implement strategies to manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a productive classroom environment for all students.
Address individual student needs, including academic support or behavioral intervention, in a professional and supportive manner.
Student Support and Development
Provide academic support and mentorship to students, helping them set goals and develop strong study habits.
Recognize and celebrate student achievements, both academically and personally.

Curriculum and Instructional Planning

Administrative Responsibilities

What Your Job Will Be Like
We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral candidates to conduct research on the theory of brain-inspired algorithms and their application to solving complex real-world problems. You will join a highly interdisciplinary team conducting high-level R&D in neuromorphic computing, artificial intelligence, and spiking neural networks for a variety of applications. The successful candidate will join our fun and interdisciplinary team of computer scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and neuroscientists conducting high-level R&D in areas such as neuromorphic computing, artificial intelligence, and spiking neural networks.
A strong background in theory (e.g., mathematics, theoretical neuroscience, computer science) is a necessity. Experience with artificial intelligence models is strongly preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
The position requires light work, occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds while frequently lifting up to 10 pounds. Instruction requires standing for long periods of time (up to 5 hours at a time), expressing complex topics through speech, sufficient vision to write notes for instruction, and hearing to interact with students. This position also requires the physical ability to demonstrate various massage therapy techniques. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
