The Ultrasound Technologist assesses the findings in the ultrasound examinations and assists the MFM physicians in interpreting the ultrasound studies. Maintains associated records for ultrasound studies, and coordinates quality assurance activities including cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Flexes between offsite locations as needed by department with a minimum of one weeks advanced notice to cover vacations and leave of absence. Will be asked on occasion to flex to other offsite to cover if someone has called out sick. Primary location for employee will be PDC Providence. Role Summary The Per Diem Ultrasound Technician plays a critical role in supporting the clinical team and patient care at Terra Fertility. You will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound imaging and ensuring an excellent patient experience. This role is ideal for a dedicated and compassionate professional with fertility-specific ultrasound experience. Key Responsibilities Perform transvaginal and pelvic ultrasound examinations including follicular monitoring, baseline gynecologic scans, 3D gynecologic scans, ectopic pregnancy scans, and early OB scans. Ensure patient comfort and safety while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Clearly explain ultrasound procedures and maintain ongoing communication with patients. Document and upload imaging results into the EMR system with accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with physicians and clinical team to interpret and communicate sonographic findings. Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure infection control protocols are followed. Assist with procedure room setup and turnover, adhering to sterile precautions. Provide rotating coverage on weekends and holidays, as needed. Primary work location is Boston; however, occasional shifts at our Dedham location may be required. Compensation This is a non-exempt, per diem position. Compensation ranges from $45 to $65 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Differential pay is available for holiday and weekend shifts. Benefits are not included for this per diem role.
