Alan B. Miller Medical Center, a state-of-the-art facility located in Palm Beach Gardens, is actively seeking a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join our growing team. This is a hospital-based position offering the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with experienced colleagues.
Position Highlights:
Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required.
Fellowship training in general or subspecialty anatomic pathology required.
Minimum 3 years of experience preferred.

Shared on-call schedule; 5 weeks of vacation annually.

No autopsy responsibilities
Opportunities to participate in Breast and Lung Tumor Boards (held three times/month)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examination and evaluation of surgical pathology specimens.
Independently perform frozen sections and assess specimen adequacy for cytology.
Manage a daily mixed caseload of 30-35 specimens, including:
Breast (core biopsies and excisions)
Thoracic pathology
Non-neoplastic and limited neoplastic GYN.
GU, GI, Neuro, limited Head & Neck
Limited Hematopathology
Cytology: thyroid, lung EBUS, GI EBUS
Work closely with laboratory staff and referring physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Job Requirements:
The Director of Risk Management serves as the facility Risk Manager and Patient Safety Officer. In this role, the Director assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, directing and evaluating the Risk Management program, and the hospital's Patient Safety Program. The Director exercises independent judgement with limited supervision. The Director of Risk Management, with training and experience in Risk Management works to manage the Technical Elements of Risk Management (TERM) program. * Manages practice(s) with up to a $13.9 million dollar threshold and oversees up to 25 full time employees

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing neurodiagnostic testing and procedures on patients of various ages and medical conditions, in accordance with standards of practice as defined by the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society. The EEG Technician will perform non-invasive neurodiagnositc (EEG/EMU/LTVM) testing of patients in the hospital setting. The EEG Technician will work with the Cardiopulmonary Svs team to assist with the EKG and Holter Monitoring as needed. The EEG Technician must demonstrate good public relations skills in dealing with physicians, patients, visitors, and staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation, or a minimum of 5 years experience performing EEG/EMU/LTVM in the hospital setting.
Must be a Registered EEG Technician or Registry eligible.
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider required.
Strong proficiency in computer based programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Therapists act as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patient's stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. Qualifications
* Education/Experience: Enrolled in a Master's Degree program from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or other related fields.
* Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills in order to document assessments, treatment planning and interventions into a meaningful document. Must be able to communicate with members of the multidisciplinary treatment team, managed care representatives, adults and patient families in a clear and concise manner. Knowledge of individual, group, and family therapy dynamics and techniques as related to cultural, social, economic, communication, and role expectations within family systems. Knowledge of clinical skills to assess treatment dynamics accurately and develop effective treatment strategies within the overall treatment plan.
* Physical Requirements: Must have good visual acuity. Ability to lift up to 40lbs, and ability to push/pull a minimum of 40 pounds. Demonstrate ability to tolerate frequent position changes such as twisting, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and bending positions for complete shift. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for momentary to extended periods of time.
