* Checks patient records for accuracy and completeness, taking corrective steps as necessary.
* Review patient records to determine appropriate consultative pathologist and/or laboratory.
* Determine patient insurance status and source of consultation to ensure appropriate billing.
* Transcribe diagnosis and other clinical information into LIS. Make corrections and edits to reports as per pathologist instruction.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Up to one year administrative experience preferred. Working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software. Ability to use applicable MS Suite products. Knowledge of business processes and procedures. Ability to use basic reasoning skills.

Performs telemetry monitoring during exam as necessary if applicable to the business unit, provides patient care support as needed. Provides discharge instructions as directed by the technologist. Reports any equipment malfunctions to technologist and supervisor. Assists in the performance of QC functions including all daily and weekly QC testing according to departmental guidelines. Transport patients to and from the unit when required.? Clean and prepare exam room following established procedures.

The program runs for 16 consecutive months (beginning in August). Additionally, the program places an emphasis upon utilizing research and literature to maintain practice within the scope of evidence-based physical therapy. The program is funded by the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute, housed within several outpatient clinics. The program has been designed to advance the competent physical therapist through education, research and professional service into a board-certified clinical specialist in the area of women's/ pelvic health physical therapy.
As part of the "Continuing Education" Plan of Study, the resident will participate in a planned curriculum specific to the Women's Health Residency Program including: pelvic floor, antepartum/ postpartum, lymphedema, biofeedback, GI dysfunction, oncology, bone health, RED-S, and Caring for the LGBTQIA+ Patient. The resident will concurrently be enrolled in part of the Advanced Clinical Practice - Musculoskeletal Sequence, sponsored by the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute. In addition to constant patron surveillance, this position supports the course instructor with class safety and organization. Essential functions
* Maintain a safe and effective instructional environment during all aquatic courses, including swimming, paddleboard Yoga, Lifetime Activities, and Group Fitness Instructor.
* Maintain continuous and active surveillance of the water and pool deck, acting immediately and appropriately to rescue patrons in distress.
* Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services (EMS).
* Respond to emergency situations according to established departmental protocols, including activating the Emergency Response Plan.
* Coordinate with the class instructor to manage class safety and assist with participant water safety evaluations, such as swim tests.
* Educate and enforce all aquatic facility rules, policies, and procedures with class participants in a positive and respectful manner.
* Perform daily opening and closing duties, which will include cleaning the pool area and organizing equipment.
* Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
* Complete necessary incident and accident reports accurately and in a timely fashion.
Required qualifications
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
