In This Role:
* This internship was created to help the NHA Employee Experience team with their summer hiring initiatives and reports directly to the Employee Experience Team Lead.
* You will be doing impactful work by assisting with the pre-hire process, reviewing background check results to ensure staff and student safety remains a top priority, and assisting with documentation for state audits.

In This Role:

High-level, specialty care services for cardiovascular and thoracic patients will also be housed, along with advanced imaging. The 690,000 square foot hospital which also features twenty surgical and three interventional radiology suites is being constructed adjacent to the Frankel Cardiovascular Center, with plans for bridge and tunnel connections to existing inpatient care facilities.
This internship program which prepares the new Graduate Nurse for a Registered Nurse Position in the Pavilion 5 Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU). Orientation includes a combination of classroom and precepted bedside clinical experience. A two (2) year commitment with a minimum of 36 hours per week (0.9 FTR) to the Pavilion 5 NCCU is required after the completion of the internship program. The initial schedule will rotate day and night shifts to meet orientation and learning needs. Shift assignment to night shift upon completion of internship. Scheduled paid time off (PTO) will not be granted during the internship program.

In this role of Music Library Intern, you'll serve as the face of the Fennell Music Library during the summer.
What You Get To Do
Circulate solo and chamber music and sound recordings
Provide reference assistance for faculty, staff, and campers
Process library materials
Complete additional projects assigned in accordance with the intern's interests and professional goals (areas may include cataloging, collection development, outreach, etc.)
Assist Ensemble Library Interns as needed (marking bowings, binding parts, etc.)

Prepared to live in a residence hall with a roommate.
While we offer accessible housing accommodations, please note that due to the rustic nature of our camp, these options are limited.
Candidates working towards or holding a Master of Library Science are preferred
Knowledge of music and the ability to read music required
Familiarity with print and electronic music resources
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient level of computer literacy (experience with Mac OS is preferred)
Applicants must possess excellent customer service skills, be very attentive to detail, and display a willingness to work as part of a team

Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Student Life Intern will support initiatives that foster student engagement, inclusion, and access to institutional resources, helping to build a vibrant and empowered campus community.
Under the guidance of the newly appointed Coordinator of Student Life, the intern will collaborate closely with campus departments and student organizations to enhance the university's culture of connection, innovation, and student success. Key responsibilities include nurturing relationships with students, staff, and the community and contributing to the goals of the Office of Student Life. The intern will also support the brainstorming, planning, and execution of campus-wide events.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to creating meaningful experiences, elevating student voices, and shaping a supportive, inclusive environment at LSSU.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support the efforts of the Coordinator of Student Life in advising student clubs, coordinating and executing events, and collaboratively developing new and innovative engagement opportunities
- Provide expertise on student experience, engagement, to support attunement of institutional investments and students needs
- Help design and deliver fun, enjoyable, and educational programming for the campus community at-large
- Support the efforts, initiatives, programming, logistics, and ongoing needs of the Office of Student Life
- Collaborate to create and maintain positive and productive partnerships
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive campus community, promoting and encouraging belonging for all students
- Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative and semester GPA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest and/or curiosity into the field of higher education and student affairs
- Experience in designing, planning, and/or executing events
- Motivation to better the college experience for current and future LSSU students
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times (e.g., event materials).
- Requires mental focus, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Must be able to adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced and student-centered environment.
