As part of this hardworking team of technicians, you will mainly perform precision cleaning of Aerospace components. This will involve inspection, disassembly, cleaning, verification of cleanliness, reassembly, operational testing, leak check and final packaging. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of propulsion module, engine, and sub assembly manufacturing. The Cleaning, Passivation, and Verification Lab is a critical part of the company's Integrated Supply Chain. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Clean and passivate hardware using means such as solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods. Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of tubing/piping/components for acceptance. Disassemble/Inspect/rebuild/test components. Safely handle hardware utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment. Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct lab solvent/chemical systems. Use various methods to provide identifying features to hardware per technical documentation. Inspect hardware using visual, ultraviolet light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing methods. Perform shop level maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales, etc. Conduct general housekeeping of lab and certified clean room area. Follow safety regulations and wear protective eyewear, steel toe boots, and other applicable personal protective equipment. Minimum Qualifications: Experience (3+ years for Level 2, 5+ years for Level 3) performing assembly, disassembly, inspection, or maintenance of mechanical hardware, components, or equipment in a professional, technical, or vocational setting. Exposure to industrial or laboratory cleaning processes (e.g., solvent, ultrasonic, or chemical) and safe handling of hardware or materials in a shop, warehouse, or lab environment. Ability to conduct, or willingness to learn, hydrostatic/pneumatic testing and follow detailed procedures. Familiarity with basic inspection methods, such as use of microscopes, borescopes, visual or ultraviolet inspection, or precision weighing tools. Able to lift items up to 40 lbs. unassisted and operate overhead cranes, hoists, or lifting equipment with training. Demonstrated ability to adhere to instructions, solve technical problems, and accurately record results (examples required in resume/application). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience entering data into digital forms, inventory systems, or databases. Ability and willingness to work an 8 days on, 6 days off rotation Understanding of safety protocols in technical environments and willingness to consistently use required PPE, such as safety glasses and steel toe boots. Meets 20/20 near-sight vision standard, corrected or uncorrected with glasses. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with precision cleaning of aerospace, medical, or other precision components. Prior experience fabricating, maintaining, testing, operating, or inspecting mechanical components for fluid/gas systems. Exposure to chemistry fundamentals applied to fluid systems operations or testing. Experience with mechanical component inspection and refurbishment (e.g., valves: Ball, Globe, Needle, Check; regulators; instrumentation; cryogenic systems a plus). Confers with the family, referring physician, and other agency professional staff to obtain information to promote coordinated, efficient, and quality patient care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Develop proficiency in operating sophisticated telecommunications, network, and avionics systems as you work toward and complete certification as an Integrated Communications controller for test and launch of the New Shepard system. * Serve as a flight controller on launch day, leading tasks such as operation of ground stations, spectrum monitoring, and ground and vehicle network monitoring. * Respond to off-nominal scenarios, taking appropriate actions to maintain crew and astronaut safety and help lead the team to resolution of anomalies. * Operate the RF ground stations and avionic ground systems in support of vehicle testing and pre-launch preparations for New Shepard (vehicle checkouts, mission simulation, etc.). * Develop procedure updates and lead operational aspects of network, radio frequency communications, and avionics equipment for use across all phases of operation. * Support control console human interface upgrades as we deploy new console software, panels, and procedures. * Support systems safety activities by working toward process and documentation improvement.
