PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: As a member of the Section Gang, you will be responsible for laying, repairing, and maintaining railroad tracks for standard or narrow-gauge equipment used in mainline service, plant yards, quarries, sand and gravel pits, and mines. Duties include operating specialized machinery such as ballast cleaning and bed tamping equipment to ensure safe and efficient track conditions. General Purpose Define the roles and responsibilities of the Housekeeper within a long-term care facility. The purpose is to maintain a safe, orderly and clean environment free of obstacles and odors. * Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including * lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors. * Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms. * Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris. * Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers. * Empty trash cans and replace liners. * Sweep and mop floors. * Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents. * Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions. * Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner. * Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns. * Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished. * Excellent customer skills and positive attitude. * Excellent time-management skills. * Ability to work independently or with a team.
