Purpose Statement
This position will support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
* Perform shipping and receiving duties
* Responsible for inbound/outbound deliveries.
* Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor
* Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
* Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.

* Develops and maintains a good working relationship with Warehouse Group Leaders and other managers, teammembers, and other co-workers. Resolves problems and conflicts in an acceptable manner that shows respect for the other person(s).
* Follows plant rules and policies and Company code of ethics in performing job.
* Ensuring the efficient return of unused raw materials to inventory
* Works closely with agencies and drivers
* Reserving freezer space for the daily plant production in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with preset guidelines; printing out the production register and distributing as necessary having knowledge of warehouse dumps procedure and handling those not requiring team leader approval reserving product for outbound shipments, double-checking for errors or problems,
* Performing other functions of the Warehouse Management System as necessary and according to preset guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* HS/GED required. College degree preferred; and three to five years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to follow defined policies, processes, and procedures
* Must have excellent computer skills and experience in extracting and analyzing data using information systems reporting tools such as Excel.
* Efficient with all Microsoft Office products. Experience using QAD, SAP, and Outlook a plus.
* Must have good interpersonal, analytical, leadership, and problem solving skills
* Must have good written and verbal skills
* Hands-on, very willing to "roll the sleeves up" and get involved to get the job done.
