Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable purchasing and warehouse coordinator to join our team. This individual must be detail oriented and computer literate. As the purchasing and warehouse coordinator you would manage our supply chain procurement process and warehouse operations. This role ensures timely purchasing of materials, accurate inventory management and efficient warehouse organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment and has strong communication and logistic skills.
Responsibilities
* Source and purchase materials, supplies, parts and equipment.
* Issue purchasing orders and maintain accurate purchasing records
* Monitor order status and expedite deliveries when necessary
* Collaborate with technicians and managers to forecast needs and avoid material shortages
* Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and distributing materials
* Maintain and organize warehouse
* Preform regular inventory checks
* Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored
* Operate warehouse equipment as needed.
Qualifications
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, work in various environments and weather conditions
* Highschool diploma or GED, associates in a related field preferred
* 1 year of experience in purchasing or inventory management
* Strong computer skills a must including experience with inventory or ERP systems
* Forklift certification a plus
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to pass a background check
* Ability to pass a drug screening for all illegal substances in Vermont.

Summary:
The Warehouse Associate helps unload the truck when the drivers return from pick-ups. They also bring furniture and items out on the floor throughout the day. This requires following safe practices for handling donations and the ability to effectively communicate with donors and express the mission of GMHFH. They will assist in the warehouse organizing merchandise and loading purchased goods.
Primary Responsibilities:
Loading the salesfloor with merchandise throughout their shift.
Unload donated items from Donor's vehicles as they are in the Donation Lane. Approve or deny donations based on if they are in good, sellable condition.
Impart GMHFH's mission on donors and provide proper documentation for their donations.
Assist the truck drivers with unloading their donation pickups when they return to the store. Assist with getting items out on the sales floor directly from the truck.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Attend community and GMHFH events and assist with set up.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Desired Education and Experience:
Experience handling heavy goods and loading goods for transport preferred.
High school diploma preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Able to communicate well with staff and donors.
Dependable and able to stick to a schedule.
Excellent customer service skills to respond to any questions or concerns.
Flexibility to switch to different tasks quickly.
Able to focus on and complete loading of the truck for the entire shift.
Compensation & Benefits:
The hourly rate for this part-time, in-person position is currently $16 hourly and the position includes a 20% discount to Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity ReStores.
