Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive. **About the Role** We are seeking an exceptional Senior Staff Data Scientist to lead the design, development, and scaling of our experimentation science platform, with a particular focus on multi-armed bandit (MAB) algorithms, adaptive experimentation, and automated decisioning. This is a high-impact, hands-on science leadership role that will shape how we test, learn, and optimize customer experiences across millions of users worldwide. As a senior technical leader, you will set the vision for experimentation science, drive algorithmic innovation, mentor other scientists, and partner closely with engineering, product, and analytics teams to scale our platform from hundreds to thousands of concurrent experiments and bandits. **Key Responsibilities** + Scale Experimentation Science + Architect and lead the design of scalable statistical and algorithmic frameworks to support large-scale A/B testing, multivariate testing, and adaptive experiments across multiple surfaces and business lines. + Develop robust variance-reduction and bias-correction methods (e.g., CUPED, regression adjustment, quantile regression) for use in production pipelines. + Advance Bandit Algorithms + Lead the development and deployment of multi-armed bandit methods (e.g., epsilon-greedy, Thompson Sampling, UCB) for artwork optimization, personalization, and whole-page optimization. + Design frameworks for off-policy evaluation (OPE), variance reduction, and regret minimization at scale. + Platform & Infrastructure Partnership + Collaborate with experimentation platform engineers to productionize algorithms and build reusable libraries, APIs, and dashboards that automate experiment setup, analysis, and decisioning. + Ensure statistical rigor, interpretability, and operational reliability of deployed systems. + Thought Leadership & Mentorship + Serve as a technical thought leader across experimentation, influencing roadmaps and best practices across Data Science, Engineering, and Product organizations. + Mentor data scientists and analysts on advanced experimentation methods, algorithmic design, and impact delivery. **Basic Qualifications** + Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or related field (or comparable industry experience). + 10 + years of experience applying statistical and machine learning methods to large-scale online experimentation. + Deep expertise in experimental design and, variance reduction methods. + Hands-on experience implementing and scaling multi-armed bandit algorithms in production environments. + Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyMC , statsmodels ). + Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. **Preferred Qualifications** + Deep expertise in causal inference and adaptive experimentation. + Experience with experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, internal experimentation frameworks) at large scale. + Track record of publishing or presenting in relevant scientific conferences or journals. + Experience in media, streaming, or personalization contexts is a plus **How We Get Things Done...** This last bit is probably the most important!
