National Movable Bridge Practice Manager

This Opportunity WSP USA is seeking a Movable Bridge Practice Manager with extensive experience in the management, design, delivery, and Business Development of movable bridges to work out of a mutually agreed upon WSP USA Office location. In this role, you will be responsible for pursuing, managing, providing technical services and support for all types of movable bridge projects, as well as other specialized engineering services such as movable bridge asset management and load rating services. This position offers the opportunity to support WSP's movable bridge projects both domestically and internationally. The role will report to the Director of National Bridges & Structures Practice.
Your Impact
* Manage the Movable Bridge Practice consisting of Professional Engineers and Technicians in three distinct disciplines, Electrical, Mechanical and Structural Engineering, each led by respective Discipline Leaders.
* Drive nation-wide marketing and business development activities to be able to grow Movable Bridge Practice.
* Serve as Project Manager or Discipline Lead for the delivery of Movable Bridge projects.
* Work closely with the Discipline Leaders and collaborate to win pursuits, execute projects and improve client relationships.
* Provide technical support and assist PMs and TEC regional leads across the nation on Movable Bridge projects, including both pursuits and project delivery.
* Collaborate with the Director of National Bridges & Structures Practice, as well as Regional and Local leadership, to shape the strategic direction for Movable Bridge
* Practice focusing on marketing and pursuit efforts for conventional and alternative project delivery methods like Design/Build, CM/GC, and Public-Private Partnerships.
* Attend industry conferences related to Movable Bridges, promoting WSP and engaging with DOTs and other clients.
* Actively participate in professional associations to elevate the organization's profile and foster continued client engagement.
* Provide insights into current and emerging technical trends in Movable Bridges that impact WSP USA's business.
* Perform additional relevant duties as required.
* Make responsible and ethical decisions regarding company resources, adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
* 15+ years of relevant, post education professional experience in engineering related to movable infrastructure design required.
* 20+ Years Experience preferred.
* Professional Engineer license required (multi-state preferred) or ability to obtain within four months of moving into the position.
* Demonstrated ability and leadership in Marketing and Business Development activities and growing Movable Bridge group(s) in USA.
* Strong working knowledge of relevant movable structures construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements, and the business impact upon the organization.
* Demonstrated ability with establishing, implementing, and managing enterprise wide, discipline-related programs, projects, and practices.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage a large span of control while effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interacting with employees at all levels within the Movable Bridge Practice and the organization.
* Strategic lateral thinking and strong analytical skills with attention to detail and prioritization of responsibilities in a pressure work environment.
* Demonstrate a high level of organizational agility to gain the support and cooperation of executive management, clients, and key stakeholders.
* Strong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules and hours to meet business needs.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $149,000 - $300,000

**This Opportunity** Provides high level technical assistance and guidance on multi-site/phase water, wastewater and water resources engineering projects. Tasks may include the design and development of processes, infrastructure, and operating strategies related to water supply, wastewater treatment/conveyance, stormwater facilities, pollution control and treatment, and preserving the quality of the environment by averting the contamination and degradation of water resources. Assists project leadership with project management, project design, and corrective action strategies. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards.
**Your Impact**
+ Provide guidance with data collection efforts for collecting, identifying, and compiling data from samples of wastewater, sludge, and other matrices for projects, investigations, and surveys.
+ Perform high-level professional wastewater engineering work and conduct investigations, analysis, and design relating to waste disposal, pollution control and treatment activities to avert the contamination and degradation of water resources and determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.
+ Ensure that the planning and management of available wastewater is adequately leveraged, treated, improved upon and remains safe for various end uses - irrigation, commercial (reclaimed), and/or industrial.
+ Develop advanced technologies, monitoring devices, modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies to reduce the volume and toxicity of pollutants, account for the negative environmental impact of municipal facilities, industrial facilities, power plants, and transportation vehicles/systems, and allow for greater use of water resources.
+ Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams to execute mid-level projects including, budgets, tracking hours and expenses, task completion, permit applications, compliance documentation, and regulatory and technical analysis memos.
+ Coordinate, review and approve infrastructure design plans, ensuring data integrity and work is compliant with all applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
+ Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, reports, models, cross-sections, and other illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of more complex data, findings, or analyses.
