Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for providing legal advice, regulatory support and strategic expertise Calpine's Retail business lines and provides legal support in a variety of business negotiations and contractual agreements in the retail electricity and gas space. Handles a variety of legal projects; anticipates and guards against legal risks through a combination of directly representing Calpine Retail in legal actions or through the management of outside counsel. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and an additional 2 years of experience in lieu of education

Associate's Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or similar social science.
A minimum of 1 year experience creating and facilitating lesson plans to school-age children from diverse backgrounds.

SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program at the school site. The Crisis Intervention Specialist works closely with the principals, counselors, students, parents, community members, and other concerned individuals to ensure that identified Communities In Schools of Southeast Harris and Brazoria County programs are provided. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Coordinates services for identified students and families during the school day and possibly before and after school.
Interview students and/or parents and/or guardians with problems such as personal and family adjustments, abuse, criminal conduct, finances, employment, food, clothing, housing, and physical and mental impairments to determine the nature and degree of the problem.
Secures information such as medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to a student's situation and evaluates these and the student's capacities.
Counsels students individually, in family, or in other small groups regarding plans for meeting needs and aids students to mobilize inner capacities and environmental resources to improve social functioning.
Helps students to modify attitudes and patterns of behavior by increasing understanding of self, personal issues
Maintains working knowledge of community resources and agencies and connects the appropriate resources to individual students' and families' needs
Refers and follows up with student and/or parent and/or guardian to community resources and other organizations.
Compiles records and prepares reports, meeting required deadlines in a timely manner.
Review the service action plan and perform follow-up inquiries to determine the quantity and quality of services provided to the student and the status of the student's case.
Accesses and records student and community resource information.
Secures supplementary information such as free and reduced lunch status, discipline reports, grades, and other school data reports necessary to assess the student's needs accurately.
Actively involve volunteers in their areas of interest and expertise.
Work closely with principal(s) and counselor(s) to effectively structure programs, meeting the needs of the individual campus setting. When required, determines student's eligibility for financial assistance.
Effectively meeting the objective of the CIS-Crisis Intervention program through individual mentoring and/or counseling and/or organized group sessions.
Organizing and maintaining student case files in compliance with the Perfect File Checklist as outlined by CIS.
Plan, organize, and implement program design to meet the needs of the students and families effectively.
Relate, motivate, and encourage students, parents/guardians and/or administrators, faculty, and staff.
Have knowledge of Southeast Harris and/or Brazoria County resources.
Must be able to interact positively with a diverse group of individuals of the school, city, and state entities.
Compile and submit reports and information in a timely manner.

Be responsible for program planning and implementation of objectives.

SUPERVISION
The Communities In Schools of Southeast Harris and the Brazoria County Crisis Intervention Program Director supervise the site coordinator. (See organizational chart)
EDUCATION
Masters Degree is strongly preferred in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
LICENSE
Licensure in either psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years experience in a work setting. Must be able to work with students and parents of low and medium incomes and interface with various school and community members.

The Site Coordinator is required to do data entry into the software program, maintaining detailed student activities for state-wide reporting purposes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Works under general supervision to provide clerical assistance to campus faculty and staff in a variety of campus environments.
* Answers inquiries and communicates with a variety of employees, callers and visitors in a courteous manner.
* Prepares and processes documents including, but not limited to, correspondence, mail, records, forms and reports.
* Maintains office, employee and/or student files.
* Orders and maintains supplies as requested.

Medical Assistant Role: Reporting to the Clinical Director for all clinical related matters and Practice Manager for all non-clinical related matters. The Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating care between the patients and providers, conveying messages, assisting patients with requests for prescription refills, sample medications, paperwork, etc. The Care Coordinator will also administer injections and treatments under the care of the Provider and direction from the Clinical Director. Job Description:
Patient Assessments and Care:
Complete Patient Assessment including checking patient's vital signs, blood pressure, pulse, height (for children only), weight and temperature.
Obtain consent for any injections or procedures before the visit.
Treatment, Processes, and Testing Duties
Complete urinalysis and genetic testing
Administer injections under the direction of Supervising Provider
Obtain lab results and ensure they are properly uploaded to patients chart and accessible by the Provider
Complete medical release for records and prepare records to be reviewed by the Provider
Assist Provider in completing request for disability and work release paperwork
Emergency Protocol
Know and follow necessary protocols during emergency situations with patients that may require contacting 9-1-1, Police, or other first responders.
Stay informed and up to date on emergency procedures at all times.
Execute de-escalation protocol in case of emergency.
Document emergency encounters information in patients chart and have Provider review
Care Coordination
Check faxes and distribute to appropriate persons (referrals and medical records request)
Coordinate messages between patients and providers through EClinicalWorks encounters. Patient encounters need to be responded to within 24 hours of receiving messages.
Scheduling patients when necessary, including new patient appointments, follow ups, injections, and Spravato Treatments
Utilize systems such as ECW, RingCentral, Freshdesk and Freshchat to coordinate messages. Tickets should be converted to ECW encounters and addressed in this system.
Prescriptions requests should be responded to within 24 hours of receiving
Prior Authorization management including receiving, completing and submitting prior authorizations in a timely manner.
Coordinate prescription refills and ensure they are due and necessary checks are done before conveying messages to the provider for refills. Ensure correct pharmacy information and patient information is in the chart.
As assigned, complete phone triage, documents calls, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
Clerical Duties
Compile information for patient charts including scanned documents such as record release, consent for care or treatment, letters for correspondence of care, legal documents necessary for care, etc.
Manage sample medications including keeping a log of medications available, expirations dates, and the contact information for drug representatives who provide the samples. Ensure the medication sample cabinet is locked at all times. Dispose of expired medications per set guidelines.
Complete Providers requests as necessary
You should have the following skills:
Work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure excellent patient experience. Coordinate with other departments for patient care.
Must maintain composure in environments of elevated stress to include but not limited to professionally and calmly handling crisis situations in the form of telephone calls or in person to determine appropriate next steps in the assessment process.
Knowledge of behavioral health services/treatments, medications and mental health scales.
A minimum of one year of progressively responsible support services work preferred.
Position prefers individuals to be a registered or certified Medical Assistant. Ongoing CEU credit requirements must be met yearly, if applicable.
