This role involves producing parts to specifications using advanced machine shop equipment and developing programs, setup sheets, and fixturing to ensure precise operations. **Responsibilities** + Produce parts to specifications using machine shop equipment. + Develop programs, setup sheets, and fixturing for efficient machine operation. + Set up, adjust, and operate conventional and CNC machines to fabricate parts and assemblies. + Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials onto machines. + Establish and monitor speed and feed rates during machining. + Layout, measure, and prepare stock for part manufacture. + Interpret engineering drawings to ensure proper product fabrication. + Fabricate, repair, and assemble plastic/metal parts using mechanical equipment. + Operate hand and power tools to assemble parts into subassemblies and products. + Clean and lubricate machines and equipment to maintain proper operation. + Operate inspection equipment to ensure parts conform to specifications. + Perform incoming inspection on parts and ensure produced parts meet specifications. + Provide feedback on parts and machining process improvements, including designing fixtures and jigs. + Draft and edit shop operational and preventative maintenance procedures. + Train personnel in the operation of shop equipment and tools. + Maintain inventory and order shop supplies and materials. + Coordinate work orders and shop use. + Perform preventative maintenance and simple repairs on shop machines and tools. + Understand and follow safety precautions, ensuring compliance with company safety policies. + Provide safety and policy training to others. **Essential Skills** + High school diploma required. + Minimum of five years machining experience required. + Accredited trade school diploma may substitute for two years of experience. + Experience using basic hand tools and inspection equipment required. + Proficient in operating CNC machines, band saws, table saws, media blasting, and pedestal grinders. + 2+ years of experience in CNC, mills, presses, or similar environments. + 2+ years of experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment required. + Experience with electro-mechanical devices, lab equipment, or medical devices required. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working in a regulated ISO/FDA (GMP) environment preferred. **Why Work Here?** Join a team in a well-equipped facility with supportive management and ample opportunities for growth.
