Role Summary
We are seeking a Corporate Electrical Engineer to lead the design, execution, and oversight of electrical engineering projects across multiple business units. Key Responsibilities
Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Mentor plant engineers and technical professionals across business units.
Key Requirements
Accredited bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
5-10 years of experience in heavy industrial environments, preferably within engineering consulting and construction services.
Strong project management skills with experience leading electrical scope-only projects.
Expertise in electrical design including single line diagrams, loop sheets, and grounding systems.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes for cement, wallboard, and paper.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and reporting metrics (KPIs).

**Responsibilities**
+ Develop, maintain, and update accurate BOMs to ensure proper material planning and cost estimation.
+ Create clear, detailed, and standardized work instructions to guide production teams in assembly, machining, and quality control processes. Ensure instructions align with safety and quality standards.
+ Design and implement set-up sheets for fabrication processes to streamline production processes, reduce setup times, and ensure consistency across shifts.
+ Oversee the selection, maintenance, and inventory of cutting tools. Implement tool management strategies to optimize tool life, reduce downtime, and ensure cost-effective operations.
+ Utilize CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) to design components, fixtures, and tooling, and to generate CNC programs for manufacturing processes.
+ Design and develop custom fixtures to improve production efficiency, ensure part accuracy, and enhance operator safety. Validate fixture performance through testing and iterative improvements.
+ Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to track production data, manage workflows, and improve operational efficiency. Ensure accurate data entry and reporting for real-time decision-making.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, manufacturing planning and production, to drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve manufacturing challenges.
+ Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production issues and improve product quality.
+ Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors and soliciting observations from operators.
+ Support ongoing effort to streamline project initiation and execution by establishing standard processes and systems to create and distribute manufacturing data for sheet metal operations.
+ Recommend process improvements that will improve quality and reduce overall costs.
+ Specify machinery and tooling required to manufacture a wide variety of parts in small to large quantities.
+ Interface with processing suppliers to effectively transfer information required to execute subcontracted work.
+ Generating tooling concepts to securely and accurately hold workpieces during machining.
+ Stay informed on new manufacturing technologies. Investigate and recommend new processing technologies that improve efficiency and quality.
+ Support Lean initiatives and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelors degree and a minimum of five (5) years with hands-on operation and programming 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC equipment using CAM software prior relevant experience, or an Associate's and minimum of eight (8) years prior relevant experience.
+ Strong computer knowledge and be familiar with Microsoft Office, ERP systems (CostPoint) and CAD/modeling software such as Solid Works CAM or equivalent.
+ Experience providing engineering support in a manufacturing environment, specifically working with high-precision CNC lathes, milling machines, and/or surface grinders.
+ Generating tooling concepts to securely and accurately hold workpieces during machining.
+ Experience with both light and heavy gage sheet metal parts including cutting/shearing, press brake forming, and welding considered an asset.
+ Strong ability to generate, read and interpret fabrication drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams and schematics, with a strong understanding of GD&T principles.
+ Has a proven in-depth knowledge of fundamental mechanical engineering concepts and how to apply to fabrication and manufacturing processes.
+ Able to create CNC programms for Lathe & milling processes.
+ Able to create sheet metal flat patterns using parallel/radial line development as well as triangulation development (cones/transitions).
+ Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
+ Ability to communicate and work with all levels of the organization.
+ Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
**Preferred Skills:**
+ Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (Deltek CostPoint, SAP, ORACLE).
+ Experience with both light and heavy gage sheet metal parts including cutting/shearing, press brake forming, and welding.
**Physical Demands:**
+ Must be able to lift up to 15 to 20 pounds
+ Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
+ Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

Job Description
This role is responsible for leading the introduction and ramp-up of new contract manufacturing (CM) sites and production capabilities in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. This role focuses on managing the manufacturing readiness process with external partners-defining production requirements, validating process capability, and ensuring successful transition from prototype to full production. The engineer will collaborate closely with CM engineering teams to develop and implement robust manufacturing processes, oversee equipment and tooling readiness, and drive issue resolution during pilot and early builds. Strong industrial engineering experience is required to assess process efficiency, optimize workflow in partnership with CMs, and ensure alignment with quality, cost, and schedule objectives. This position plays a key role in bridging design and manufacturing functions to ensure new products are effectively industrialized and launched through global contract manufacturing partners.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for introduction, development, and establishment of new contract manufacturing locations and new production capability.
* Strategically execute NPI (new product introduction) tasks related to the design and launch of new manufacturing production capabilities.
* Take ownership of the relationship and direction with CMs, providing necessary inputs and monitoring/driving progress to achieve project deliverable timelines.
* Coordinate prototype manufacturing activities including prototyping, purchasing/logistics, schedule, budget, etc.
* Create and maintain AME deliverables related to new production such as PFD, PFMEA, QCP, manufacturing BOMs, etc.
* Participate in design reviews and DFA/DFM reviews to influence design regarding manufacturability.
* Serve as liaison between contract manufacturer (CM), engineering, and procurement when developing component packaging requirements.
* Develop and track manufacturing KPIs in support of company goals/initiatives.
* Support company initiatives including, but not limited to, cost reduction and quality targets.
* Travel expectation 25-90% depending on stage of production maturity; to include possible international travel.
* Other tasks as necessary at the discretion of AME Project Manager or AME Management
Requirements
* The successful candidate will have broad and deep experience within industrial engineering and manufacturing within an OEM and/or Tier I supplier community.
* 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
* Experience driving automation solutions for metal fabrication and component integration solutions.
* Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with high volume, low-mix production.
* Experience in a manufacturing NPI role preferred.
* Knowledge of manufacturing metrics such as OEE and yield and experience establishing and tracking KPIs.
* Knowledge of quality methods and requirements including APQP or stage gate release processes, ISO9001, TS16949, and global OEM development systems.
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent education.
* Ability to travel to CM locations with little advanced notice.
