This role involves inspecting shipment contents, preparing essential shipping documents, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. **Responsibilities** + Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by inspecting contents and comparing them against manifests, invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation. + Record key shipment information, including weights, freight charges, space utilization, damages, and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. + Prepare essential shipping documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping instructions to ensure proper routing of materials. + Communicate with internal teams and vendor representatives to resolve issues related to damages, shortages, or materials that do not meet specifications. + Pack, seal, label, and apply postage to outgoing materials using appropriate hand tools and power tools to ensure secure and compliant shipment preparation. + Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment by following FIFO (First In, First Out) and 5S organizational standards. + Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience with inventory management and shipping & receiving processes. + Proficiency in using RF scanners and computers for inventory tracking. + Forklift operation skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with inventory systems and RF scanners. + Ability to use both hand and power tools for shipment preparation. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melville, NY. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
