Locality pay varies by duty location.Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

Responsibilities:
Drive truck to designated location then loads and unloads supplies, and equipment as directed by bill of ladings and customer orders
Unload and check in all trucks with incoming product upon arrival to warehouse
Inspect truck equipment, supplies, such as fifth wheel, tire, lights, brakes, diesel, oil, and water for defects, before and after trips
Maintain vehicle upkeep by performing general maintenance and addressing safety concerns including:

Taking inventory at customer's site and determine customer's needs
Maintain and order inventory warehouse on a weekly basis
Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
Provide customer service and assist with answering warehouse phones as needed
Other duties as assigned
Experience and Educational Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
Six months to a year related experience is preferred.
Valid CDL class A license preferred.
Hazmat endorsement and forklift experience preferred
Adequate mobility to continually walk and stand; pull orders from various shelf heights; and ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and 50 lbs on occasion is required.
Occasionally will move 100 lbs from pallet to pallet.
Must be able to read and understand English, have basic mathematical skills, number recognition skills, and good hand/eye coordination.
Good customer service skills and a sense of urgency are required.
Computer knowledge is helpful.
Must be available for on-call rotation.
Work Environment:
This position will work in both a warehouse environment as well as at customer sites, including feedlots and dairies. In such an environment the position will be frequently exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, temperature changes, humidity, and noise.
Physical Requirements:
This position will constantly require sitting for extended periods of time, as well as heavy work including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, hearing, and eye/hand/foot coordination. Frequently requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, talking, and repetitive motions.
