The assistant coach will adhere to all NCAA, NESCAC, and College regulations and represent the institution with the highest professionalism. General Duties and Responsibilities * Assist in daily practice planning, coaching/teaching through video and whiteboard sessions, diving development and technique, and post-practice debrief. * Assist with pre-meet preparation, in-meet coaching, and post-meet debrief. Education and Skills * Bachelor's degree * Two years of diving coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level and/or three years of collegiate swimming & diving competition experience. * Knowledge of NCAA and NESCAC rules. * Demonstrated leadership experience and effective communication skills. * Highest ethical standards regarding sportsmanship, integrity, and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands * Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach. * Must be able to demonstrate swimming and diving techniques. * Ability to enter and exit the pool as needed for instruction or safety. * Occasionally lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. * Remain in or around a pool environment for extended periods of time. * Project voice across the pool area to provide instruction and ensure safety. * Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations. * Maintain close and distance vision to observe and assess athletes' techniques and safety.
